That is for most English players today... But come on The EPL has also produced World class English players... who just never could win a title as a team... England as a team na wash.

But the EPL has produced both English and non-English World class players...

safarigirl:
in defence of the EPL, I doubt any other league has produced world class English players. Na English players no dey be world class, no be the league fault grin

Mbappe is a freak of nature, he is a boy built like a man. But when it comes to putting the ball in the net and creating goals, Nacho is truly on another level.
Creating goals, Yes, Finishing?? Not too sure. Mbappe runs are crazy. His composure is just as good as Nacho. It's a toss either way for me.

Ndo, no bite me. Epl is a better league than Ligue un. Doesn't mean Nacho is more talented...that's my point.

Stop going around in circles and just answer...
Both leagues produce world class players okay... no one is saying otherwise... grin

But is the Ligue 1 on the same level as the EPL??

Abeg help me nail the answer... and why do these world class players from France run to Spain and England most times?? cheesy

Answer the first qiestion... the latter question just came to mind now... hehehehehe.

I never said Nacho was more talented... see? cheesy Sew what I am saying? cheesy

I was only saying that Mbappe is not entirely better than Nacho on an overall level... What started this debate is saying Mbappe is far better than Nacho... I am saying that is not true... They are practically on the same scale and level with each having what makes them both special...

But you guys were so out to show that Lord Mbappe lives in a universe so stars spangled and sparking with stardust light years away from Nacho...... as if that is true...

Nacho has done and proven himself special in the planet's toughest League... Martial came and his hype died down... but Nacho's reputation is still intact and when he gets his smooth and consistent run of games.. the world will see what a star he truly is...

Ligue 1 is not the EPL.... show respect for Nacho.

Only Barca, madrid defenders and Godin and maybe some few others are the real threat for a very good striker, the premier league has top defenders scattered in the top 8 teams and beyond look at someone like fonte languishing in Sunderland or where self
Someone like Savic cannot start for Leicester self
I know you're saying epl defence is stronger than laliga because cr7, suarez and messi score 30+ consistently.
But you have to understand that they are not your regular every day players.

Look at the runner ups. The strikers manage 20,19,17 goals.
That gives you alot to ponder regarding the "defence"

I hope you get my point

You can't say Martial hype died down when he hasn't played as much this season. Man united bought Mkhitaryan and Ibra. He has more competition start of the season than Nacho did. As for Mbappe, he has done well in the ucl. He scored against big teams, you can't say he hasn't faces stern opposition. So no, they aren't at the same level. Mbappe is better.

I dunno about Iwobi, It was Iheanacho's own that pissed me off for obvious reasons. I wanted Iwobi as a sub, not a starter. The criticism was for not playing them at all despite the fact that they put in a good shift for the first leg

Siasia did not even have decent players to fill in for them. Like someone said last year "Siasia go dey play boys wey suppose dey sell toothpaste inside traffic for field"

POLITICS.

Bundesliga and LA Liga are the Two best leagues when it comes to Technical quality and some more....

The EPL is second to them both... or lemme say Third overall.

Yeah money is a factor... but also these three leagues boasts of the highest volume of the truly top teams in Europe and in the world today...

From Real Madrid to Barcelona to Bayern Munich to Manchester Utd to Chelsea to Atletico Madrid to Sevilla to Manchester city to Borussia Dortmund to Liverpool to Borussia Mochen Gladbach to Tottenham to a few others.... big guns they are...

And they all interchange players among themselves sometimes... If I include Serie A, We will also have Juventus, Roma, Intermilan, Ac Milan, Lazio... top guns.

So that prestige and better competitiveness is also a huge factor.

I already told you I see Kylian at real madrid... isn't that enough respect for you to see? wink

I rate him highly.

But biko... Let the words praising Kylian not be overstretched just to put him overly ahead of Nacho when Nacho himself has insane records and stats too all made in the EPL..... wink

And nope... ligue 1 is no farmers league... and I never said that.. I never called it that... better go find who used that word... I only said Ligue 1 is not and never in the same class and competitive quality as the EPL... Chikena.. that was all I said.

True, but they came from the French league.

So the French League produces potential... Potential does not always become world class. Eg Djbril Cisse. EPL has created more world class players.

When Nacho got his little shot in the UCl... he took it with both hands.. he scored two goals... one as a seven mins cameo performer and the other in as a starter against Celtic.

Nacho's competition was Aguero and Gabby J... and even at some point Kevin de bruyne and Sterling... coz Pep will play them as false 9. So who had it tougher? Nacho or martial? Come on... let's be fair...

Mbappe did well in the UCL yes... When Nacho was given his shot in the UCL... he also delivered...scored in the two games he featured in. Why ignore that?

and no Mbappe is not better... Nacho and Mbappe are within the same range in overall quality right now....

I'm tired of this argument.Ok why did Pep play Debruyne and Sterling as a False 9 in the first place?? At the start of the season, Aguero and MAYBE Nolito were Nacho competition. Infact, Aguero was Nacho only competition start of the season. No one is denying Martial had a poor seaon, but he wasn't a regular.

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 12:51am On May 30, 2017
Well that first question is simple.... it is because Pep didn't trust Nacho enough. Even after Nacho's early season performances in Aguero's absence, Pep just sent him to the bench and then out of matchday squads altogether. It was a matter of trust.... not ability.
