See what I didn't like in this goal and also Sikiru's own was that the keeper didn't attempt to stop it. I think the keeper should at least jump even if it is for the camera.

Oga to tell u the truth this thread is where the bus stops for me. I am not a member of any other group.

Well both keepers didn't expect the strikes to end up in the net but to me that is energy wasted if u jump for the camera, they could also get injured doing the jump and that is not wanted

EXTRA TIME: AHMED MUSA TO OPEN KANO SPORTS CENTRE IN JUNE
By Taiye Taiwo

The Super Eagles forward has taken a giant stride in developing grassroots sports and to promote the well being of people in Kano State

Leicester City ’s Ahmed Musa has announced that he will open a sports and fitness centre in Kano on June 15.

The Nigeria international disclosed that the multipurpose sports building that is located in his home state, Kano will be named after him as Ahmed Musa Sports and Fitness Centre.

The 24-year-old forward netted twice in 21 league games for the Craig Shakespeare’s side that finished 12th in the English topflight log.

How would you rate this humanitarian act by Ahmed Musa who has enjoyed quite a fair start to life in England?

Humble bigginings. But I'm glad he is a very disciplined player and WONT be flattered by such comparisons. Iheanacho will never be tempted to feel he has arrived. He has not even started yet.

Ndidi nko, Etebo nko. Al these lads need to keep their heads down and keep aiming to be the best regardless of how they started.

Early comfort zone will never be their portion.

This Kelechi matter no be here. In one year, the boy has been compared to Dembele, Rashford, Martial, Mbappe, G Jesus, Dybala sef.

Only Kelechi, this young talent from the streets of Imo state, in Nigeria. This happy African boy, this boy who started his career with monkey post grin now being compared to players that were born inside one football academy in Europe or were taught the rudiments by the likes of Beckham, Pele and great names in world football. Before UAE, which big name had Kelechi met in football?

If no be God, how else did Kelechi get to this point? It is a great thing to be mentioned among the world's brightest talents, when last did we have anyone raising Africa's flag in world football like this?

If Kelechi was reading these arguments, he will just be saying "Chineke, onye ka'm bu?" grin grin

No one would say league 1 is in same level with Epl, it's blasphemous to tink something like dat grin

That does not mean league 1 is poo as you guys wanna make us believe,, we he ve seem player who tk Epl by storm after being signed from league 1 over the years, of recent re Kanter, Hazard, azplicueta, Mahrez etc

Funny that many Epl players don't make it elsewhere # fact (stand to be corrected). Their young stars hardly make it beyond the shores of England.

League 1 is arguably the highest export of talents in Europe and I hope no one would go argue that.
League 1 is not poo,,, they have prove that over and over again.

Giroud, koscielny,Hugo Lloris, sagna, Nasri, infact it's uncountable. Not only in Epl, varane, gameiro, umtiti, etc

Eagles dismiss match-fixing allegation in Senegal, Corsica friendlies
By Alex Monye

• Players getting ready for Togo game

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has dismissed insinuations that the results of the Super Eagles international friendly games against Senegal and Corsica were pre-determined before the teams stepped onto the pitch.

Nigeria has been playing a series of friendly games to prepare the Super Eagles for a Cameroun 2019 African Nations Cup qualifier against South Africa this month and back-to-back Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Cameroun in August.

Following the outcome of the two friendly games in which Nigeria came from a goal down to make scores 1-1, there have been insinuations the matches ended the way officials of the countries involved wanted.

Speaking with The Guardian from France yesterday, Super Eagles’ Media Officer, Toyin Ibitoye said there was not much at stake to warrant that sort of arrangement, adding that the matches were organised just to give the Super Eagles’ coaches the opportunity to assess the new players in the team.

Ibitoye wondered why people see only the negatives from the efforts of their compatriots, adding, “It is not right for some people to have such idea. The result of the Eagles friendlies should not be the main focus now… our target is to support the coaches to select a quality squad to battle the South Africans in the AFCON qualifier.

“The Eagles have been winning other matches before now so the outcome of the friendlies should not cause any friction. The Eagles coaches are working hard to assemble a formidable squad that will contend favourably with the South Africans and here we have some people occupied with negativity.”

Ibitoye maintained that the Gernot Rohr-led technical crew was poised to redeem the image of the Super Eagles by qualifying Nigeria for the 2019 African Nations Cup and 2018 World Cup, adding that it would not augur well for the team if they resort to foul play in the build up to the matches.

The Super Eagles had their second training session in Paris ahead of their next friendly game against Togo yesterday with only 16 players, including the two goalkeepers involved in the sessions.Leicester City forward, Ahmed Musa is out injured after picking up a knock in Friday’s friendly against Corsica, which ended 1-1.

*yawns* in all of this.... what is the bottomline? Ligue 1 is not in the same class or competitive level as the EPL.... #fact #truth #LiveWithIt

A youngster (especially a foreigner) making good waves in the EPL should be taken more seriously than one doing same in Ligue 1.... That is the simple logical truth. Beat that.
smiley

Saying English youngsters don't succeed outside England has two sides to it. Some don't make it but some do make it.... Heard of McManaman? Heard of Beckham? Heard of Gary Lineker? cheesy

Not many English players move out... but you cannot deny the world class quality of Scholes, Lampard, Ferdinand, Gerrard, Shearer, Tony Adams, David Seaman, Kevin Keagan, Paul Gascoigne, Ashley Cole, Sol Campbell, Ian Wright, Ian Rush, Andy Cole, Teddy Sherringham, And many more......

Within the African continent, Would you call Egypt nonsense for sticking to home most times? Isn't the Egyptian league better than the Nigerian League?? But we produce more top talents than they do right? Talents who hit the heights in Europe...

Look... bottomline .. The EPL's quality and Level of competition is on a higher pedestal compared to the French Ligue 1.

The Ligue 1 is one of Europe's top 7 leagues. I think they also make the Big 5... or I should say Big 6.... but they are well below the likes of EPL, LA Liga, Bundesliga and Serie A. #Fact

Final Note: In determining the European Golden boot every season... it is impossible for a player who has scored 50Ligue 1 goals to top a player who has scored 40 EPL goals...

Wanna know why? The Uefa league factor or Uefa coefficient rating for each league is taken into account...

In the EPL, for evert goal scored, it is multiplied by 2... But in French ligue 1, it is multiplied by 1.5

Do the maths... and this is so because of the level of Class, Quality and Competitiveness of both leagues. wink

LA liga has a factor/coefficient of 2 also... same with bundesliga (2), Serie A (2), and even Portugal (2). Meaning Portugal is even rated stronger than France. see?

So listen up... Ligue 1 is well below the EPL... let facts and truth reign and not sentiments just because we all wanna argue. Bonjour. smiley

To prove your statement as a fact it will be better to use performance statistics of EPL clubs versus Ligue 1 clubs in continental tournaments.

Mbappe is a freak of nature, he is a boy built like a man. But when it comes to putting the ball in the net and creating goals, Nacho is truly on another level.

putting the ball in the back of the net? Come on man.

I remember when I mentioned that Nacho was scoring goals against Tanzania, theSuperNerd said you can only score against the team in front of you. Now let's use that logic for Mbappe, he has been scoring against teams in front of him for fun, in the league AND the champions league. I got tired of this argument when guys here wanted to ignore his UCL impact, I mean this lad is scoring against Borrusia, Man City and other top top teams, somehow someone wants to compare that stat to scoring the last goal in a demolition of Celtic who are used to collecting 6+ goals from every top team

All you said is not far from truth!

Aside from Beckham, I don't know much about McManaman and Lineker other than what I read on media.
I'm not just saying English folks making it abroad, it extends to their breeds!

I don't take foreigners making it in Epl much serious.
They flatter to deceive more than their European big gun counterparts.

Today it's Mecheda, tomorrow it's Grealish, next tomorrow it would be Jenuzaj and it keeps going.
I know that other league flops but Epl tops them on that angle

Mbappe had proved himself more than Kc and I pray Kelechi would do same very soon.

So at the moment, Mbappe is better than Kc and you can't change that, no one outside Nigeria will argue that!

Even Kelechi himself won't argue that.

How has Mbappe proved himself better than Nacho?? Was Nacho getting the same run of games as Mbappe?? Was Nacho playing week in and week out like Mbappe??

Is Mbappe scoring goals in the EPL??

Holy moses!

Be fair guys... be fair...

Nacho with his little game time and irregular run of games which were few and far between still boasts of numbers and stats that rivals some of the best.... His Goal ratio is still rated as high and wicked.

And you tell me about one being better.... I Laugh.

Mbappe is in the spotlight because he got his run of games and he took it well... Nacho hasn't gotten his but whenever he was given his chance no matter how little... he took it well too...

And Mbappe is doing his in a 1.5 league... Nacho is doing his in 2.0 league... Huge difference Bro!!! cheesy

And plsss go read up on Linekar and Beckham outside England... they did great.

Huge difference Bro!!! cheesy

1.5 players re taking ur 2.0 league for fun.
Two present best league players in Hazard and Kante re using ur 2.0 league to play ludo* grin

Fear God small... Lol

Morata is better Suarez, he hasn't played much but he has much better goal ratio than Suarez and Cr7.

Giraud is also second best striker in Epl because he has second minutes goal.

Just accept that Mbappe is at moment better and no one will beat you

I don't own The EPL... so don't personalise it to me... it is just fact so plsss breathe gently and just swallow it okay... let it digest into your system... I promise it won't poison you... cheesy

And ohhhh I am sorry... remind me who is top scorer in the EPL again... wink

And Kante and Hazard ran away from the 1.5 league and came to the 2.0 league and got even better... they didn't become best in the EPL by playing at the same level they operated on in France... nooooooo way... they stepped up and improved massively becos the coaching and environment in the 2.0 league enhanced their potentials... They became World class in The EPL And not in France #Fact

And Sorry, The problem I have with you guys is your misuse of words...... "Better"

Kylian is not better than Nacho... Kylian is only rated higher and the talk of the media because he had his chance not based on Ability but based on his performance... Ability-wise and potentials-wise... no way is he better... Nacho is still the kid who notched 10 EPL goals before age 20.... that is massive... he is still the kid with the Most lethal goal ratio ever in the EPL's history despite not getting a good run of games amounting to less gametime... #fact

His UCL goal stats are also great...

Mbappe better?? I don't think so.... cheesy
