Kansiime is Ugandan. Thats the general (and obvious) accent in Ug.
I watch citizen tv too as well and I can't see any difference in their accent with that of kansime.

Yah you are very correct.

Buh just that it's a free country and a free market. These cheap producers still have their customers and it also serves as a source of employment for many. Nothing can be done to stop or regulate them from the markets.

I think with time they will die a natural death as there will be loads n loads of these 1st grade movies in the market. First grade movies are mostly watched in the cinemas and only original copies sold (which might be expensive) for lower income citizens, until after some years.
okay. Still, movies are a window into particular country /society and how the world sees you. BTW, nollywood is very popular in the carribean as well.

9jakool has presented a very interesting analysis of some other aspects of bantoid people and language. Would you care to comment? Can you give us the names of common animals in your native tongue for comparison?

Kansiime is from western Uganda from bakiga people. That is their normal, trademark accent. In Kenya, people tend to form humour around accents and the one from western Uganda is very hilarious to the Kenyan ear, so they imported her along with her jokes for tv. If you ever travel to Uganda, you will hear that accent alot. Even in Uganda, there are many accents. As an African, you should know accents and tribal origin are like 5 and 6!

I submit to you, that there are strong similarities ...

Kamba tribe, Kenyan Bantu ...

Imwe, ili, itatu, inya, itano, thandatu, monza, Nyanya, kenda, Ikumi

Swahili:
Moja, mbili, tatu, nne, Tano, sita, Saba, nane, tisa, kumi

I bet I would somehow comprehend the language if I heard it being spoken
Another qualifier would be the names of common animals and pronouns.

No idea, Ghanaians should tell us
cedi is stable for the past 24 months now. yes redomination was carried out in 2007 to improve transaction cost and reduce the essence of carrying large paper money around.

i can as well tell you ghana currency is strong. minimum wage in ghana per day is 8cedis 50 pessewas which is 255 cedis a month that translate to 60 dollars . best in west africa. i dont know about kenya.

Madam there is serious dollar shortage in Nigeria currently. From forex inflow of about $40 billion to $13 billion last year dropped the value of naira as low as 525 naira to $1. Within 3 months the naira rose to 375 at the black Market. It will keep rising as dollar inflow increases.

Most companies couldn't even have access to Dollar for raw materials last year but things are getting better this year and we expect to see a stronger naira before the end of this year.

Am I missing something? I thought 1 cedi equals roughly .23 USD? I found that on google. How is 255 cedis equal to 60 USD?
The minimum wage in kenya is KES 14,868 or about 148.68 USD per month.
ghama cedi is equal to 0.23 dollar why a dollar is equal to 4.33 cedis. there is plan to increase the minimum wage

You're the man on the ground, give us an account of what 1 cedi can buy. Also give us a picture of what an amount like say, 100 cedis can do. Am just curious if I might step in Ghana one day.
Pssst. There is this Ghanaian lady called Juliet bawua, is she really able to play football with high heels on? She was famous for some guiness ad some time back and she entered into men's folklore ever since.

Whoah that was a big difference of $27 billion. Do you think not allowing enough foreign investors has contributed to why your currency fell last year and n why its still low against the us dollar compared to other African countries?

good for kenya. gdp per capital in ghana is 3.500dollar why that of kenya is 1.800 dollar. there is high possibility of making more cash in ghana compare to kenya. with your minimum wage .kenya govt has done well.
