1 cedis is 0.23 dollar . It cant really do more than buying a bottle water of 250ml. Which is more than enough to buy a 300ml of coca cola drinks in nigeria. You can covert it to kenya shillings to get the picture.

A 100ghc is 23 dollars enough to get you a room self contain in the capital city accra in average location more than enough to get you two month apartment in lagos in average location.

there is inflation in the system but you can beat it if you are working. you charge base on what you spend. you will not feel the inflation as a ghanian or foreigner so far you are working.

We have what we call portfolio investors. The come in when every thing seems good and immediately something threatens their investment they run away with everything they have. It can be as small as not getting dollars for remittance back home. This actually affected Nigeria too.

The main issue was the sharp drop in the price of oil from $118 to $27. Oil dropped as low as $27 per barrel last year and production also dropped from 2.4 million barrels per day to 0.9-1.2 million barrels per day due to Militant bombing of oil and gas pipelines. Oil was the major source of forex for Nigeria. Immediately oil rose above $50 per barrel and militant activities stopped, we started having some kind of relive. Most of the pipelines are still under repair.

Nigeria is greater better and more prosperous than any other African country.

Nigeria is massively respected in other African countries.
An inlaw of mine who had just finished working in Kenya in some couple of months told me a story of how the Kenyans treat them with great respect simply because they are Nigerians. They would even call others to come see Nigerians are around the area.
We know things are not going right in the country but believe me, that still does not change how other countries feel or think about Nigeria and Nigerians.
Nigeria is a great country no matter what you think.
