The languages have so diverged that the best an Idoma speaker can do is pick 1 or 2 words when those languages are spoken. Now, u can't compare Tivs who are the farthest away west of the Bantoid speakers with Bantu languages as far as Kenya. I think you should instead try comparing Bantoid n Bantu languages in Cameroon who are immediate neighbours and i believe you will be shocked at the similarities you would find.
