Plsss dont quote me to type trash ever again... Thank you.

FYI.... the game against Togo is rated.... It is an international game and the records of the game counts. Now carry your subtle Nacho hatred and leave my mentions. You forget you deal with one well schooled in psychology so I can smell the intentions of your posts light years away. Now Scram... smiley

Mickael2:
[s]before I start, read this slowly and digest it

Pelé is the top scorer of the Brazil national
football team with 77 goals in 92 official
appearances.[8][192] In addition, he has
scored 18 times in 22 unofficial games.
This makes an unofficial total of 114
games and 95 goals. He has also scored
12 goals and is credited with 10 assists in
14 World Cup appearances, including 4
goals and 7 assists in 1970.[193]

oga, when it comes to goals, unofficial goals are not counted, let's say Martins scored 20 extra goals in unofficial matches, he still won't be our record scorer, do you now understand why the goals don't count?

And what under planet earth are you even yammering about? How did I include Kayode? Oga, check the first comment I made, I said it won't affect our ranking shikena, it was someone that tagged me and I had to give him an extra reason why I think we shouldn't have used up to 9 subs in the game, if you are that much of a fanboy well I am not, Iheanacho is one player, and if he is scoring then I am fine with that, maybe for you when you are eating, sleeping, working, watching tv or even doing anything you are always thinking about Iheanacho(that's why I will be saying another thing and you will start Iheanacho vs Kayode debate) but for me I don't fancy minor debates like that sorry[/s]

Great things are happening these days guys (good match preparation) , good results are inevitable, it is a basic law of nature that cannot be broken. We have a qualifier against ordinary South Africa on June 10 and camp has been a full house since late may! Wonderful!
I remember the days of Christian Chukwu and Austin Eguavoen, when we will have a nations cup or world Cup qualifying match to play on Saturday, and the big boys... Okocha, Aiyegbeni, Martins, Yobo, Efe sodje, Agali and their gang will "hit" camp on a Thursday, and still spearhead the starting eleven. Somehow those days Sha, they still found a way to win... The days of pumping the ball in the air looking to get the ball to okocha and hope for a magic.

Nigeria 3- 0 Togo ; Players Ratings – Iwobi MOTM Despite Brace From Leicester City Musa

The Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated their counterparts from Togo in a friendly game played in France yesterday to help both teams prepare for their upcoming AFCON 2019 Qualifiers.

Nigeria maintained their unbeaten run under coach Gernot Rohr with a convincing 3-0 win over their counterparts from Togo, Owngoalnigeria.com Michael James who was at the stadium rates the Super Eagles players on parade.

Ratings

Ikechukwu Ezenwa – Truly was on holiday for most of the 70 minutes he spent oxn the pitch. Although impressed with his constant barking out of instructions to his defenders which helped in keeping them on their toes….. 6/10

Shehu Abdullahi – Solid display from the right back position. Won his tackles neatly and also used the ball to good effect, was quick in joining the attack when he had to. Justified his starting spot….. 7/10

Elderson Echiejile – Senior man like most of his young teammates call him kept it simple at the back, wasn’t caught out of position, held his line brilliantly and his forays upfront helped dragged the Togolese defenders out of position which profited the forwards of the team…..7/10

Chidozie Awaziem – Strong in tackles, loves to play with the ball at his feet and very dominant in aerial duels. Had a game to remember alongside William Troost-Ekong in central defence. No doubt the FC Porto man has a bright future in the team if he maintains or improve on his current rate of progression….. 7.5/10

William Troost– Ekong – Plays with an unusual show of authority, big, strong and commanding. He has grown into one of the leaders of this team, and once again his partnership with Awaziem protected Ezenwa who had little to do due to their hardwork….. 7.5/10

Wilfred Ndidi – Simply unplayable, he was very dominant for Nigeria in the middle. Linked up well with the likes of Alex Iwobi and Oghenekaro Etebo in the middle with him. A future Super Eagles captain…..8/10

Mikel Agu – The FC Porto man appears to have won the heart of coach Gernot Rohr, he was quick in spotting danger and sniffing it out. Won his own fair share of tackles and barring any late minute change of mind could start against South Africa on the strength of his showing in training, and in the games against Corsica and Togo….. 8/10

Oghenekaro Etebo – Unselfishly set up Kelechi Iheanacho for Nigeria’s third goal. Guilty of losing possession early into the game but grew as the games progressed. Very lively for the time he was on and came close to scoring twice….. 7.5/10

Alex Iwobi – Man of the Match. Has way too much class for the Togolese defenders. Operating from the left he set up Ahmed Musa for his both goals and showed some nice pair of heels to get pass his markers with ease. His neat range of passes left the defenders of Togo in their wake….. 9/10

Ahmed Musa – Had another lively performance just like the Corsica game and capped it up with a brace. Took his goals with the calmness of a veteran forward. Surprisingly doesn’t looked match rusty despite his lack of game time at Leicester City during the just concluded football season in England.

Kelechi Iheanacho – Seven goals in ten games for Nigeria says it all. Twice brought out saves from the Togolese goalkeeper before tapping the ball into am empty net for what might be one of his easiest goals in the Nigerian shirt. Took up goal scoring positions and dragged the Togolese defenders out of position with his non stop diagonal runs across the backline of Togo….. 8.5/10.

Substitutes:

Dele Alampasu – Just like Ezenwa had nothing to do for the 20 minutes he was on the pitch. Will be glad his debut ended with a clean sheet for Nigeria…..5/10

Tyronne Ebuehi – Lost his starting spot to Shehu Abdullahi but still showed his qualities when he was introduced. Very attack minded and his willingness to get on the ball most times speaks volume of his abilities as a modern day full back….. 5.5/10

Victor Osimhen – Had to shake off the ball and very confident even in tight areas. Came on when Nigeria have taken their foot of the gas, but still did enough to make his presence noticed….. 6/10

Sikiru Olatubosun – Didn’t touch the ball enough to warrant a rating…..

Olarewaju Kayode – Showed his quick pair of heels and abilities to get past his markers. Loves to defend as well, and always looking to play forward passes to help maintain the team momentum going forward….. 6/10

Henry Onyekuru – Got involved when he came on but didn’t get into goal scoring positions unlike the previous game against Corsica. Still showed glimpses of his potentials with good link up play and neat passes…… 5/10

Alhassan Ibrahim – Mu’azam didn’t really influenced the game like he did against Corsica as he lasted just five minutes on the pitch. Not enough to earn a rating…..

Rashidi Yekini's 37th goal for Nigeria was scored outside the official FIFA window in a makeshift friendly... On February 22nd... during the period of the 1998 Afcon being held between Feb. 7 and 28.... smiley

The Afcon is always never on FIFA calendars but it is rated and considered an official tournament.

Now during the period it was held.... a Friendly game outside the official window for "Official matches or international friendlies" was also held and the teams obviously had their predetermined arrangement... and this is classified under "Other friendlies" in the FIFA rule book where any number of subs can be utilised between 3 and 12.... *if the teams involved wish so*

Bottomline: Yekini scored that day and that was his last goal for Nigeria. His record 37th strike.... two better than Italy's record scorer sef in Luigi Riva... wink

And till date Fifa and Caf and the NFF have that on record.... smiley

Why are a few so pained that this Nigeria-Togo game will be recorded/documented as part of the association football records? why do a few love to twist truth and the rules? why do we like to argue nonsense sometimes??

It is such a pity really.

Musa , Abdullahi, Troost - Ekong Confident Ahead South Africa Clash

Super Eagles stars are brimming in confidence ahead of next weekend's 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in Uyo, reports Completesportsnigeria.com .

The Nigerian side outclassed the Hawks of Togo 3-0 in an international friendly in Paris on Thursday with a brace from Ahmed Musa and another strike from Kelechi Iheanacho.

The win extended the three–time African champions' unbeaten run to eight games, winning six and drawing two. The Eagles scored 15 goals while conceding only five.

Leicester City winger Ahmed Musa admits in a tweet on his verified handle @Ahmedmusa718 that the win was a good way to start the month.

"Good to start the new month, with goals and winning, good game guys," the 24 year old who remarried in Abuja last month tweets.

Anorthosis Famagusta defender Shehu Abdullahi also believes the win will keep the team in a positive mood ahead of the crucial game against South Africa.

"Matchday Result: Nigeria 3-0 Togo. Congratulations to the team! Big win ahead of @BafanaBafana game. Positive mood. Thanks for your support," Abdullahi write on his handle, @OfficialShehu.

William Troost-Ekong who got the captaincy armband for the last three minutes of the encounter after Elderson Echiejile was replaced by Stephen Odey, is also pleased to have led the side.

"3-0 win against Togo. Congrats to the boys making their debut today. Honoured to wear the captain band for my country at the end. Fighting together for our Nigeria," he
writes via his verified account, @wtroostekong.

The Super Eagles will fly into Abuja on board Air France this afternoon without Elderson Echiejile who will wed his spouse Vvemo down on Saturday in Paris.

I do not know what else this Shehu Abdulahi needs to prove that he is our best RB at the moment.

We saw him in the Egypt double header, we saw him at Rio, we saw him at 2015 CHAN. We saw him replace Omeruo at RB against Algeria.

We have not yet secured Ola Aina and Ebuehi seems not to be ready for the task so I think Shehu is the man for the RB job for now.

Team is very young and vibrant.

A good rating for a debutant. The coach would have to decide on whether to keep faith with Onazi or play this guy.

I am really joyed by the level of competition in our midfield. Kelechi Nwakai and Azubuike Okechukwu need to really work hard to break in o.

I like how you refrained from quoting my first reply to your moot point.

Our ranking is not your problem, stop shouting upandan as if the rest of us are unaware of the obvious fact.

It is clear that the only reason you are exhibiting this level of bad belle is because the Kelechi you called a bench warmer, incapable of starting a game, put you to shame. And that is how he will continue putting you to shame until you run out of excuses to give.

Do you know you could have passed the message that this game would not be counted by FIFA WITHOUT adding that Kelechi and Musa's goals would not be counted as well? Rather than do that, you made your bias obvious by glaringly pointing out that fact, so you ended up sounding like a pained person, looking for a balm to sooth his pain.

So, congratulations sir, you played yourself

I hate to be the one to say this but this match will not be considered when the next fifa rankings are released. as a matter of fact, as long as FIFA is concerned this match never happened.

The International Football Association Board has set a limit of six substitutes as a maximum in international friendlies.
The limit was forced through today despite strong opposition from the English FA and England head coach Sven-Goran Eriksson.
FIFA had originally wanted to impose a maximum of five substitutes but agreed to compromise at the meeting in London.
The rule change is among several changes by the game's rule-making body, including scrapping the golden goal and silver goal rules after Euro 2004.
The decision means that knock-out games will revert to being decided on penalties if the scores are level after two periods of extra-time.
Eriksson and the FA faced an uphill struggle in their attempt to persuade FIFA to drop the change to the substitute rule after the Irish FA indicated they would back the proposal from FIFA president Sepp Blatter.
Irish FA chairman Jim Boyce had said on Thursday: "I personally believe that there should not be more than five substitutes, otherwise it is a total farce with people running on and off the pitch all the time.

Madam, please read this(my first comment about the game) and tell me where you saw Iheanacho's name, please do

I think the team chemistry matters a lot and the two of them have been otherwise okay-ish in the last two games. Omeruo is a solid player on his day but mistakes are part of his game almost every match. Personally I'd rather start Awaziem

Disagree with the emphasis on physicality. Mobility, technicality and intuition are important parts of defence in the modern game. Even a big defender like Kompany relies more on the technical aspects of the game.

From Romagnoli to Hummels, Otamendi, Stones, Matip, Bailly, Luiz, Silva etc are more inclined towards the technical and mobile side. Like the set up of our defenders.

You just had to include those Manchester City defenders. grin

You did not think of team chemistry when you were criticising Onazi and Mikel midfield combo. Infact you practically disliked that phrase.

E don reach for Awaziem you quick-quick remember 'team chemistry'. See how I dey look you.

He's not a definite starter for Rohr because he plays in Cyprus.
If he moved on to a better league, say the French league, Rohr won't have any other choice than to trust him for the starting role.

His maturity, experience, versatility and ability should be an asset
