Joebie:I won't love us to go in cycle. As long as he is been invited, he gets the nod ahead of S. Moses... Probably because it is the 'Art' of the game. |

Mujtahida: On this Osimhen issue, I think I am slightly with forgiveness on this. I had always opined that let us see him kick the ball as a professional before giving him the call-up. Yes he has started playing for Wolfsburg but sincerely speaking he has not done anything of note to be invited to be Super Eagles. However, I feel Rohr knows Osimhen and the team better than I do so I join you in just watching. 1 Like |

eterisan: Omeruo was played as a DMF this season in his club. Perhaps, is poor defending costs him that position. As you said, he fumbled against Zambia hence the need to play him at the RB. If Aweriem performs better than him in camp, he should go and sidon for corner. Experience should be used when we are talking about a player with class and not one below average player. I hope he does well at preseason with Chelsea but for now.. 7 Likes |

De don't ask d reason why D english stuck to Rooney prior to and after Euro '16, why an inform but young Martial(commanding a starting shirt den in Man U) had to sit on the bench and watch his seniors play @Euros same with Renato Sanchez etc... |

I followed the debate here on the question of Odey, Olatubosun and Muazzam. Today we know better. With Osimhen we shall soon know too and in that knowledge we shall either say woowwwww, my my we've struck gold or just let out a dismissive hiss and say na wash jare. Matter go end. |

People are just making noise because Osimhen is always invited to the team. Rohr has not even started playing him at competitive games. We need to relax. It's not like our current strikers are not delivering. Mujtahida: |

TheGoodJoe:Camping continues. Awaziem might even do better in camp and Omeruo will start. Like dedebanky pointed out Rohr might want to maintain consistency. But Awaziem will have his day. Let him just keep up doing great in training and at the drills (*winks) |

You all will debate tire today una hear..... Omeruo vs Awaziem. Looolll... Okay naa.... checked in... Yara Yara...plsss add this to the debate catalog of this house... yes add it under "Debates that prolongs" Rohr knows his starting 11 against South Africa already. Onazi will start..... Even though Mikel Agu is good. But it is in defence that I will confess, I see Rohr shocking us a little... or maybe. shocking some depending on what side of the debate one is.... Normally, Rohr will go with experience in Omeruo over Awaziem... yes I know.... by default, we should expect Ekong-Omeruo. There is a little thought that if Rohr was thinking of an Ekong-Awaziem start vs SA, Then he may not call up Omeruo. #Selah But again.... strong case lies on another hand. Rohr believes in continuity too.... in the last two friendlies, it was Ekong-Awaziem and I felt if Rohr repeated that duo at CB again against Togo, he may be sending us a subtle message to prepare to have Awaziem starting. It depends on what principle Rohr rates above the other... coz if it is for continuity... he will start Ekong - Awaziem... but if for Experience... he will certainly go with Ekong - Omeruo... So his choice that day will tell you and I which principle he bends to more.... I rest my case on this Awaziem-Omeruo debate. |

maidaboi:We don put hand for England pot remove one meat (Aina) already. Out of all those remaining players it's just Tammy, Iorfa, Seyi Ojo (when he returns from injury) and Onyedinma that I fancy we try to rope them in. Solanke no go play for us. He's no better than what we have. But all in all with all the names here and there its evident that we are blooming and that alone makes me happy. One can sit down today and come up with at least 25 good players for the National team. If you try am two years ago you go for get headache. No be im make Keshi go carry one Rastaman follow us go Brazil 2014 and we really didn't let out as much as a whiff of discontent. 1 Like |

Icon4s: Of course, you know most of them are players of Nigerian origin Abroad. Oga! Shehu Abdullahi, Ikechuckwu Ezenwa, Victor Osimhen, Ibrahim Alhassan, Noah(an injured player) etc should not have been called ahead of some players in Europe, both for the friendly and AFCON. Why are the coaching crew doing selective selection? I thought friendlies are meant to give some boys opportunity to show themselves. Why bring the ones you can easily dispose and no one go raise eyebrow. When competition come na dat time go clear. Enough said. They keep working while you bring bench warmers to gain status, ba. I am very much aware of the antics behind team selection. Which players be even my players self? |

Exclusive – Super Eagles Perfected Two Different Formation To Be Used Against South Africa In France Nigeria are halfway through their preparations for the upcoming AFCON 2019 Qualifiers against South Africa, thanks to the ten days training tour they had in France. According to reports exclusively gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com, coach Gernot Rohr tried various formations during drills before settling for two different formations based on how South Africa plays. The fact that the team has already settled for how they want to play was what made it easy for the coach to give the players a two days rest before training resumes on Monday ahead of the June 10 clash against South Africa. ” We already know how we are going to approach the game against South Africa from our training tour in France. So I can say we are halfway through our preparations for the game”, one of the players told Owngoalnigeria.com. ” During our training tour we did a lot of drills regarding formations before settling for two formations which the coach said is pending on how our opponents approach the game. ” So no point for Nigerians to worry over the break given to the players. They need a breather after the ten days drills in France which included two friendly games against Corsica and Togo”. **Osas Mahawi Source: http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/06/03/exclusive-super-eagles-perfected-two-different-formation-to-be-used-against-south-africa-in-france/ 1 Like 1 Share |

TheGoodJoe: Kai theGoodJoe are you the one saying this? Omeruo has played as a RB before, as a DMF before, have you ever seen a RB who can't play the ball well? I know some DMF's are limited passers but RBs and LBs are always serious ballers, Omeruo I can even argue is a better ball player than....Balogun(Ekong dey play ball wella, or atleast he did so at the Olympics). In fact I remember you were the one saying that Omeruo was solid against Zambia despite his mistake(which I agree well enough), do you think that Awaziem can keep(....what is the name of that big and mean Zambian guy?) quiet? |

Exclusive – Rohr Reveals His Plans For Victor Osimhen, Musa Muhammed & Awaziem Wolfsburg teen ace Victor Osimhen and Istanbul Basaksehir right back Musa Muhammed are very much in the plans of coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr. Also in the plans of the manager is FC Porto Chidozie Awaziem who has surprisingly upsurged Uche Agbo in the battle for the centre back position of the team ahead the game against South Africa. Owngoalnigeria.com gathered that even though Musa Muhammed was not called up by the manager no thanks to his inactivity with Bosnian side Zeljeznicar, the full back is still very much in the plans of the Franco-German coach. ” The immediate goal is to reach the World Cup 2018 in Russia, but still Rohr has plans of blooding in lot of young players, who are the future of the team in his view”, his assistant told Owngoalnigeria.com. ” Rohr views Osimhen as a proper number nine, and wants to groom him into an area he thinks the team presently lacks fire power. He is also very young which makes him a long term solution to the issue of top striker. ” For Musa Muhammed he convinced Rohr during training session and he is very young, but he needs to sort out his club career. It will be unfair to be picking him ahead other players who are playing regularly but he is still very much in Rohr’s plans. “Awaziem is already proving Rohr right judging by his performances in training and the two friendly games he played. Three of them are part of the long term goals of Rohr”. **Michael James Source: http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/06/03/exclusive-rohr-reveals-his-plans-for-victor-osimhen-musa-muhammed-awaziem/ 1 Like |

As regards Osimhen, Rohr has seen him in close quarters enough times to justify why he continues to invite him. Komekn makes an argument for Onyedinma, a league 2 player because he has seen enough of him to decide he is class. Osimhen's playing time this season was affected by injury not ability. He has a full season next year to prove doubters wrong. Rohr has preferred Simon Moses to Musa in recent games. 1 Like |

forgiveness: Ok we are looking at like for like replacement. If you can name a nigerian player that can play the RB and DMF positions at the same time then I will agree that Shehu should not be there. If you can tell me what business Ronaldinho had at the 2002 world cup then I will agree that Oshimen shouldn't be there. Let's start with two |
