By Johnny Edward

Super Eagles and Monaco defender Elderson Echiejile got married to Oghenevwemo Ziregbe in a wedding ceremony in France on Saturday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The wedding had in attendance Echiejile’s former international teammates and club mates at the Le Domaine des Fontenelles 1 Route de Mantes in France.

Notably were former Nigerian players Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Onyekachi Apam and Vincent Enyeama.

Echiejile who opted to postpone his honeymoon told Completesportsnigeria.com in a chat that he achieved one of the greatest feats in his life wedding Vwemo.

“I’m delighted and happy. She gives me joy and it’s one of the greatest feelings I’m experiencing right now,” the happy groom said.

The 29-year-old is expected to join up wth the Super Eagles squad on Tuesday in Uyo for the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa

But you presented a principle which has a value measurement that is totally untenable where Osimhen is concerned.

What's your point?

My point is that when you have talented player you don't let him go to waste rather you draw him close. Osimhen is not Ronaldo but always have at the back of your mind that injury hampered his progress. Wolfsburg were on tip toes for him to turn 18. komekn just let's watch and see. Shikena

Akpeyi of course. He's our best bet for now and contrary to the picture some are painting here, he has been pretty decent for us.

If Akpeyi could man the post against Algeria successfully, then SA shouldn't pose a headache, to hell with what those SAcans say.

Last last, if dem give us three, we give them six. I sha know they will struggle to penetrate our defense, even less trouble Akpeyi. They may not even make it past the midfield grin
Pls stop arguing with anybody telling us Akpeyi is not good enough to man d post against south Africa

It seems you are obsessed with foreign born players. Me I just want or four or five(already we have four sef). Let them not come and remove rhythm from our football. At the rate you clamour for them you won't mind if all 22 of our players are foreign born.

Why are you lying naa?

Osimhen played 45 mins in two games immediately he attained fitness..... and this is not even counting his cameo involvement in the relegation playoffs.

14 mins vs Hamburg (as a sub)

31 mins against Mochengladbach (as a sub)

And you say his coach does not consider him good enough??

Sir Komekn... Fear God abeg!!!!

When I use the term 10 minutes it's not exact but indicative of lack of game time.

Playing 45 minutes or 10 minutes for a whole season is abysmal as the basis for selection for whatever reason.

First game comes on 59th minutes, 2nd game 77th minute and 3rd game 90th minute last games of the season staring relegation in the face. In a must win or loose all game he doesn't play but warms the bench.

What would you think your manager is saying too you. I have unreserved confidence in you

I'm tired of this Osimhen discourse it just makes the NFF look suspect. I believe it's not enough to be honest you must be seen tooo be.

Pls do w need to debate this again coz i remember we had a fruitful discussion on this and i believe it was settled.

Alampasu whao a talented keeper but has he reach d pedigree to be number 1 for national team but based on his club performance i think he hasn't and no need to argue it.

Akpeyi remain d sure bet due to Ikeme absence. He has d experience(South Africa,Egypt,Algeria,Senegal) i believe u don't want to hear but a good coach w never bench such a player for a young keeper who is still trying to find his feet.

Alampasu time is coming just like Enyeama of 2002,he should just remain focus coz sky is d limit.

Let Akpeyi's experience in Senegal, Algeria, Egypt and South Africa help him do better than Alampasu in camp. If he can not, then the experience did not help him at all.

John Ogu is always enthusiastic and ready to give his all. Sad he didn't make the Brazil 2014 team instead Keshi went and carried one Dada (Michael Uchebo). But still Ogu is always committed. God bless you jare.

since you have desired to have those players of yours in the SE at all cost...it will be much better if you help us get them to come play for Nigeria

Yes I could but we need to move away from subjective judgement and players get selected on pure merit.

These boys want to play for Nigeria but let's straight forward and have unquestionable integrity in the way we go about it.

How do you think the way Sone Aluko has been treated looks When players want to consider playing for Nigeria from the UK.

If he is going to make the numbers I don't think he will Chelsea for liverpool-fc.

Liverpool-fc is very much aware of his predicament at Chelsea hence the reason they took the advantage, except dey wan deceive join the club.

There is far better possibility of first team football at Liverpool than Chelsea.

Rohr believes in Osimhen's abilities and that is what matters. I repeat, you can not start arguing with Rohr because his intuition in the game is light years ahead of ours.

That agent does not know jack about football compared to Rohr. He is not in position to argue. There comes a time when the argument should cease and we should watch to see how Rohr intends to unleash Osimhen.

That agent has a UEFA A grade coaching qualification and has played for three premiership teams in the past.

Sorry Bro Joe for this matter you are Totally off.

Football is not an absolute science and I don't look up to Rohr as being the pinnacle of football coaching you may but I certainly do not.

His view is his view not mine it's his job to coach Nigeria nor mine. But doe's not mean I have to agree with him.

Exactly. You recall perfectly. I frankly didn't rate Balogun in his early days playing for the super eagles. I recall the game in Kaduna against Egypt, he played at Rb, looked uncomfortable all afternoon.

In the friendly against SA, Akpeyi had a blinder. So good on the night he caught a penalty. I recall the the press heralded him as the heir apparent to Enyeama after the fine evening outting.
How suddenly, people are panicking when his name is mentioned shows how fickle minded football fans are.
It is not the fans who panic but Akpeyi. It's his panicking that makes us panic. Didn't you see how uncomfortable he was against Algeria? He should not let diffidence to bury his ability. Sometimes with confidence even a mediocre can go far.

I really am trying to understand what angle of psychology you are coming from......

A kid returns from injury and gets the nod to feature in the very next game immediately after he is declared fit enough for bundesliga action.... and the coach throws him in by the 59th min.... that is a coach saying, "I don't believe in you?" Like seriously Sir Komekn.....?

He gets 14 mins next, and then 1 min in the third game... this is a kid who just returned to full fitness for crying out loud... Yet the coach still has him in mind to keep giving him games no matter what as the season was already over and they needed to focus firstly on surviving and not capping some youngster... he (Jonkers) could just as well have kept him away promising him his first game next season but noooo... he insists on Osimhen playing Coz he has worked hard and shown his top qualities in training.

Is that a coach saying, "I don't rate you?"... or.... " I don't believe in you enough?"

Come on.... give this kid a break Sir. He did good even getting a couple of minutes under his belt despite returning towards the very dead end of the season....

Na wa oooo.... and 10mins is now lack of gametime talk huh? okay naa... no wahala... but plsssss stop making it look like he was available all season and got 46+mins of football....

And yeah.... @bolded.... Then drop it already... smiley
