I wonder who told you that the bible is my standard. . . I'm too liberally conscientious to have the bible as my standard. Live and let live.

So worship God alone him and him alone. Jesus is just a messenger he sent to the people of Israel and he said in the bible JOHN 5:30 "By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me." Passages that say there is only one God:

Twist how?

You have to submit to all authorities that submit themselves to God.Incase,u found urslf within the authories dat want to trap u e.g, bad parents,govt,etc submit but possibly make them know they are wrong as Jesus always did,telling ppl dat taxes(4 Caesar) n tithes can't lead to heaven,but if it bcoms difficult,get away from them(Babylon d Great).But most importantly,try n pray to stop such temptation.

Christianity does not preach submission, Christianity preaches humility, only slaves submit.
