Nnamdi Kanu Should Be Arrested For Including Kogi In Biafra- Kogi Group by osinbanjoisaliar: 8:28pm On Jun 05, 2017
Kogi Socio-cultural group, Ujache Igala Association has called for arrest and prosecution of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for allegedly mapping out Kogi and Benue states as part of Biafra territory.

They, therefore, demanded his immediate arrest.

In a communiqué signed by the group’s National Chairman, Chief Goodman Akwu and Secretary, which was made available to journalists in Abuja, the group described the claim as ‘madness of the 21st century’.

It wondered the parameters that made Biafra agitators think that Kogi and Benue states were part of them.

“There is no cosmogony affiliation or cultural affinity whatsoever of Biafra with Kogi or Benue and mapping out those states as part of Biafra cannot be less than a show of hallucination.

“It is high time the government overcame its insouciance and nipped this audacity of seditious act on time”, the group said.

The group warned against a repeat of civil war which happened between 1967 and 1970 “when most of those class of Nnamdi Kanu and his co-travellers have not yet been born,” saying the elderly ones in Igbo land who saw it all and escaped by the whiskers were not fair to the younger generations for not telling them the truth, hence, the zone was gradually being receded into anarchy.

They demanded from Biafra agitators to explain how they arrived at making Kogi and Benue state part of Biafra geographical area, while reminding them of Kogi and Benue people’s historical antecedents of warfare.

“Kogi and Benue people in the middle belt are aborigines of Kwararafa Kingdom and it is important that our historical antecedents of warfare should be understood as well as the Biafra agitators should be reminded that these are no cowards. It is incomprehensible making Kogi and Benue as part of Biafra, they should try other zones.

“We have noticed with rude shock that the Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohaneze Ndigbo was directly supporting IPOB instead of advising them on the consequence their action would generate”, they said.

The group pointed that democratic regime and freedom of expression did not support secession under any guise as it were, explaining that the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu had breached the bail conditions that left him off the hook.

It added that IPOB leader’s dual citizenship still subsisted despite court decision, saying that if anything happened, he would leave the country.

The group called on the Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris to arrest the IPOB leader for prosecution within two weeks, failure with which they would take to streets in peaceful protests.

According to them, government was under-estimating activities of IPOB, MASSOB and others at the peril of the nation, urging that the Police, Department of State Services (DSS) to investigate cache of arms recently ceased by the Nigeria Customs in Lagos.

They asked the Nigeria Customs to disclose publicly, the outcome of their investigations into those behind the importation of arms, noting that rumours were linking the arms to IPOB.

“We suspect complicity on part of IPOB in the recent seizure of cache of arms by the Nigeria Customs and we call on the Nigeria Police and Department of State Services (DSS) for a thorough investigation”, the group maintained.

Lol... this is serious, but these Kogi and Benue people should be happy for being linked to Biafra, they surely would be better fared as Biafrans than as Nigerians...at least Herdsmen will trade with caution in dealing with them

I have said it before, and i'll say it again. Anything after ilorin and before bakassi penisula is biafran territory. Anybody that complains after actualization will find himself facing a firing squad. Whether you're yoruba, anioma, owo, egba, efik, tiv idoma or igala. It doesn't matter. Soon and very soon, you will all be called biafrans. Anyone that can't bear this reality can go to H**l.

Did they ask for pity? Are the Igbos done pitying themselves that they want to pity others?

The people have said they don't want to be associated with biafra, why are biafrans forcing themselves on the people? Isn't this the same thing they claim to be fighting in the "luguardian contraption"? What's with the forceful attachment? Can't biafra stand on its own?

Firstly, I'm happy u didn't claim to be from Kogi. Although I have no idea as to why u chose not to answer kogite. Maybe there's no OIL to milk from their land or because it takes a hardworking fellow to engage in farming and a commercial one at that.

Secondly, Lair Mohammed/APC has made it impossible to for one to differentiate between fake and real news

Finally, referendum is an incorruptible judge and knows how best to settle the matter. Only then the people will truly speak and not propagandist machineries.

Hmmm....after reading all the comments here, I've come to realise that IPOB accept Anything concerning biafra. Even if it's a lie. Can you imagine what all of you are saying? Kogi and Benue be part of Biafra? Since when? Am from kogi state and even if things ain't fine in the state, nothing will make Kogi join Biafra because they will be a minority group there and the Biafra govt will care less about Kogi and Benue. Is it not the reason why Biafra was created? Coz Nigeria cares less for you guys?
I respect the ideology of Biafra, infact assuming am the president of this country, I would let you guys go and knock yourself out but joining Kogi and Benue is No No. Am sure it's because of the oil found at the Anambra/Kogi border that they're been mapped out. So don't give yourself hope, call us pitiable, call us anything but Kogi prefers to be in Nigeria or Arewa/Oduduwa nation than Biafra

But we Igbos will claim every part of Igboland.

I thought they said we were adding groups becos of oil?

Oil is never a factor but culture is and remain the main factor.

If Yoruba want to go on gay about Igbo decision to start a new nation afresh, we will break out without any of this groups.

We simply want a respectable distance from Yoruba and Hausa before things degenerate to war.

Even with or after war, we will still demand our own separate nation, so a war is pointless as was the first Biafra war.

War solves nothing.

I just hope that IPOB get its act right. You guys are really bringing in unecessary insult to the Igbo nation. Please, restrict your campaign to to only Igboid states. If Benue or Kogi indigins wants to join Biafra, they can apply for citizenship. I hope you guys are wise. Do you want to create another Nigeria? Nonsense angry
