safarigirl: Anything wrong with being an Ngwan? Gini ka chukwu juru? Early isiala Ngwan's were cannibals, so also were other places round Africa, South Emerica, Asia etc. Ngwa has moved on. The kingdom of Arochukwu down to Ohafia (the warriors) were notorious for the human head ikperikpe ogu and ekpe dance back then also. Gini exactly ka chukwu juru when Arochukwu wasn't any different from Ngwa? I dun tire for this stereotype about the great people of Ngwa biko. OPPONENT WATCH Bafana Update: Team Arrives In Nigeria Bafana Bafana arrived in Nigeria last night, where they will continue preparations ahead of their Africa Cup Of Nations qualifier on Saturday. The South African national team will lock horns with Nigeria at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Saturday, June 10, in the opening encounter of the AFCON qualifiers. Read more: Eric Tinkler Resigns As City Coach The South African Football Association’s president, Danny Jordaan, is confident that a good performance by Bafana on Saturday will set the tone for the rest of the country’s upcoming fixtures, the Chan and 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. “We need to qualify for Cameroon in 2019 and FIFA World Cup in Russia next year. We have a massive year ahead of us and a good showing in Uyo on Saturday would set the tone for the rest of this demanding year,” Jordaan said on SAFA’s official website. Head Coach Stuart Baxter also added that he is eager to frustrate the Nigerian side on Saturday, saying that his side respects the Super Eagles but ‘don’t fear anyone’. “We need to guard against them going at us in the opening minutes. If we manage to frustrate them, the crowd would become restless and that would be a big starting point,” Baxter said. “Respect yes, but we don’t fear anyone. I believe the secret to having a good result on Saturday would be to do things collectively; attack and defend as a unit.” http://www.soccerladuma.co.za/news/articles/categories/bafana/bafana-bafana-update-team-arrives-in-nigeria/270279 |

'Autoritarian Sunday Oliseh makes Fortuna ticking time bomb It's about Fortuna trainer Sunday Oliseh. His behavior would cause the necessary problems within the club, writes chef sports of De Limburger Patrick Delait in his column. On the website, Fortuna Sittard announced at the end of March that the club wanted to go on with Ferry de Regt. Negotiations on an extension of its declining commitment would be conducted shortly. Two months later, a longer stay of the Venlonar seems to be excluded at Fortuna. Opposed to this newspaper, De Regt knew that he would like to walk other roads, given the current situation at the club. The situation in which he deems, De Regt thinks about it. Offended The captain, a fixed value in the heart of the defense, is not the first to leave Fortuna for a mistaken reason. In March, assistant coach Tini Ruijs also honored himself. Almost three months after his appointment, Ruijs called "private conditions" as the reason for his decision. Several sources around the club confirmed that Oliseh had been offended by his right-hand side in favor of the players group so that they immediately picked up his troops. Authoritarian Also caregiver Marco Lemmens and keeper trainer Patrick Creemers already collided with the African vedette. Their role at Fortuna has now been played. Now that the loyal Ferry de Regt also draws conclusions is significant. In particular, the authoritarian behavior of coach Sunday Oliseh causes a double split. The Nigerian, in the winter stop as Ben van Dael's successor, looks at the television cameras amicably and sympathetically, but behind the scenes he is the famous wolf in sheep's clothes. Bare ruler Financially, Fortuna Sittard seems to sit in quieter waters since the takeover by Turk Isitan Gün, of sporty stability. The appointment of Oliseh may have given the club a lot of goodwill, the former player of Ajax, Dortmund and Juventus, at the very least, is a guarantee of continuity. On the contrary. Oliseh behaves at Fortuna as a ruler, no one who dares to put him in the road. Whoever has the power to act, plays with fire. By constantly sharpening internal relations, Fortuna's eupen-resident Nigerian is making a ticking time bomb. Nigeria Oliseh's still fashionable career career is already one of the shortest adventures. At the Belgian Verviers he stayed for only one season, and afterwards he did not sit on the couch for a long time. As a Nigeria national coach, he was at the forefront of the race with the band he was sorry to "make a mess of it". After almost eight months, he had seen it, not causing conflicts. For example, Vincent Enyeama, long-time leader of the Super Eagles, was put by Oliseh at the old dirt. A matter that was widely measured in the Nigerian media, more and more because it was thrown back and forth with mud. Normal approaches It is Oliseh's feet: when he gets touched by his pride he does not care anything about him. With his experience and fame as a top soccer player, it is logical that he wants to push his stamp as a coach. In comparison to the top clubs he ever played for, Fortuna is in all respects a Small Thumb. That Oliseh will have to tighten the thumbscrews to blow a professional wind: nobody will blame him for as long as it involves normal approaches. On a coach who reduces his colleagues and scratches the skin, nobody is waiting. It's high time someone at Fortuna is teaching this Oliseh to the mind. 1 Like |

komekn:I won't mind if he returns. Our goalkeeping and right back positions are our softbelly as it stands. Enyeama(if he returns) Ikeme (hopefully he gets fit) and Akpeyi in that order. Ikeme might even put Enyeama on the Bench sef. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Icon4s:Against Zambia we scored in the 32 and 42nd minutes and against Algeria in the first half we scored 25 and 42 minutes. That cannot be regarded as early goals by any stretch of definition of the word. My concern though is not when we score (because we generally do score and that's what matters) but the slow build up play and complacency that sets in when we are winning. Of course tiredness and fatigue can take its toll but I presume that as one who has followed Nigerian football for long it's hardly deniable that we get complacent most times. 1 Like |

Only Ngwa people have nice things to say about Ngwa people History remembers Arochukwu as renowned slave traders and the most formidable opponents the British encountered in the East, nothing much on Ngwa people aside cannibalism. Now that you know, I suppose we can return to the football. |
