Why the silence here?

Lets get it a bit noisy..

I understand everybody is quietly waiting and preparing towards the cbt.. I guess thats why. But maybe we could still do some study here too.. Maybe..

Please I need someone to help me out with this. I have already applied for the NDDC postgraduate scholarship, and I currently have a conditional offer from Coventry University, which am to fulfil some conditions and that includes a deposit of £4,311.30 before July 14th. But the school I put during my application was University of Portsmouth, although I haven't finalized my admission with them because of delay in my transcript which I hope to get this month in order to process the admissions. I just want to know if one can still change admission letter even after the interview, cos the school I actually want is Portsmouth or Anglia Ruskin University, but if further delay in my transcript, I might have to use the Coventry University letter for the interview first.

I'd also like to change my university as well but I haven't even gotten admission for it,I'm still going through with the one I uploaded since it's an unconditional offer, so either way..

honestly cause something tells me sms will start rolling in soon and we don't have adequate time to prepare seeing as we don't even know what to study? Current affairs? Undergraduate subjects? Intended post graduate subjects?To think I actually read the whole 2016 thread and the only thing I remember is nddc delayed payments

This £4000 deposit is it compulsory before one gets a visa? Or to get the CAS certificate? Cause this one nddc doesn't release award letters until late September.. My university starts late September and accommodation is based on a first come first serve basis.. And trust me I don't even want to live off campus

1. Both categories of applicants (MSc & PhD) write the same test - for the same specialisation.

2. Interview for PhD normally cut across doctoral proposal, general chat - most especially if you are already in academics and some current affairs.

3. Interview usually comes up say 1-2 weeks after the CBT. In the course of the interview, there is usually the sum of ten thousand naira given to all attendee to cater for their transport fare.

Hi, I'm in lagos would the cbt and interview hold in lagos or I have to fly down to port Harcourt too? Also there'd no contact person this year? Do you know of? Cause I think last year there was a Godwin or so people could contact if they didn't receive sms alerts for cbt?

The scholarship award letter will cover for the deposit, and CAS letter will be issued to you. The CAS is compulsory to apply for visa. If the scholarship award doesn't come before September, you'll definitely defer the offer to January/September 2018 start date.

To the best of my knowledge, off campus accommodation is cheaper. The decision is yours to make, though.

Are you serious? But the cbt and interviews are they in close proximity? Like a few days apart?Because I can't imagine traveling down to port Harcourt twice though in the same short period and 10k won't cover anything na hmmm

I hope so too, meet all the conditions and trouble them with emails and phone calls, look for their nigerian agents for follow up make sure they don't charge you because you already have a conditional offer. Tell the university that you have other admission offers and you're trying to decide quickly even though you're looking forward to starting with them in September blah blah..maybe they will respond quick enough. Im sure they don't want to lose you, especially since you're international.

Jehovah hear our cry oh.i doubt my university does January intake but I haven't asked.and I thought nddc said no deferrals on their website? So what then happens? I see so award letter ---> Cas ---> visa ---> uni resumption.

NDDC Y U NO release award letters on time? Their track history is poor.

Off campus accommodation with flatmates wahala I don't know oh, my mind is open whichever way. The hardship in this country is too much

what are the likely areas to prepare for the cbt, undergraduate course, current affairs or GMAT?

Make i no lie, i never start to prepare sef, cuz one doesn't know whether one will get selected for the cbt. But well apparently, almost everyone gets the invite.


Anyways, the only thing that is hindering my offer to change to unconditional, na ielts , i still dont know y as anglophones, we take it shaa. Dem for exempt tho.
Another option is to take pre-english lesson,

A quick question, let's say hypothetically, everything goes well, from invite to "ace-ing" d cbt, will presenting a conditional offer to the interview be any good??

The conditional offer I already have is from Coventry University. What is delaying my final processing with University of Portsmouth is my academy transcript, which I hope to be available before month end to enable me complete my admission process for Portsmouth.

Mehn, I can't wait to meet you all at the cbt centre, and also during the interview. Please I need an assistance here on something, who knows of a school that could give me admission without my transcript, apart from Coventry. Cos I just need to have something tangible at hand cos of deadlines. Thanks.
