Honestly packaging/lying in ANY visit visa application isn't worth it. Currently where I work I met a guy who is looking to get hired, so we got talking and he opened up about how he was denied a usa B2 visa along side his wife and daughter, I requested to see a copy of his DS160 form which he brought yesterday,he was interviewed at abuja (about 5/6pages) did a photocopy while I handed him back his own copy and guess what information there was bogus despite having good home ties (married), went ahead and made travel plans(desperation) and I pointed out his errors at least based on what i have learned on here. And sincerely it changed my impression big time, here are few lessons 1) lying ruins your credibility and it's correction takes time that's if you don't get banned. 2) going to the usa is good but it isn't a do or die affair. 3) i found it more prestigious to visit and return i.e first visit you get 6months, upon your return and second visit you get 2years with a drop box renewal option. I find this more sweeter than over staying and falling out of status, open more doors to visit other countries. 4) it's more better to follow the Rules and say the truth, even if you earn less than 100k in salary don't inflate how much you earn. I know the situation here in 9ja is tough but it's not advisable one lies as it affects not only the applicant but also his/her family members who intend to apply for visa. 5) applicants should ensure they have a genuine and clearly defined purpose on why they intend to visit the usa Enough said, I'd rather say the truth with a clear conscience and get denied, than ruin my credibility with lies just to get a sticker 3 Likes |

hello house, which of these countries do VO regard honour as travel history / experience 1. Ghana 2. Kenya 3. South Africa 4. Dubai i know this question may upset you , i just need reasonable analysis in order to weigh options thanks. |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 11:03am On Jun 09, 2017 |
I am of the opinion that you are qualified for visa at the discretion of the VO. You can improve this by having strong ties to your home country. People with "VIRGIN PASSPORTS" have gotten US Visa's many times. But if you are exceedingly rich, you can travel anywhere you want to. Your choice. (THIS IS THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION). Save your money and build up your strong ties to Nigeria instead. No two ways about it. lexyj123: |

KaptainAfrika: Thank you for your kind prompt response, but what tie could be stronger than having a government agency job of about 10years experience and still counting , earning above 250k, married with children, a certified professional, having siblings and parent here in Nigeria, landed property enof, what more? |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by lexyj123(f): 11:21am On Jun 09, 2017 |
KaptainAfrika: yes, people get approved on virgin passport and i can tell you they have peculiar stories and they wont narate. more so, it depends on the mood of the the VO, and that is purely GRACE in action, and not everyone has it in equal measure. 1 Like |

This ties of yours are very strong in my opinion. I am not the VO but your profile is very good, you have strong ties. What you need to do is know why you are going to the US, and where you are going to in the US, for how long, and be able to explain what you do as per your job and be able to explain some technical jargon associated with your field. Again this is my opinion, you have strong ties but VO's are human beings and may look at other considerations but that would be up to them. Be confident in the interview and honest in filling out your forms AND DO NOT USE ANY AGENT, so that you can confidently answer the questions during your interview. Hope that helps. lexyj123: 1 Like |

God's grace deals with sin, and not getting a US VISA biko. And I think God won't be too happy if we are using His grace to get US VISA and run away from the country, that He in His infinite wisdom decreed for us to be born in and positively change for the unborn ones to come. lexyj123: 1 Like |

IHate9ja1: This is well-said. I would add to the above and suggest that one's lies not only affect you and your immediate family, but also reflect poorly on ALL Nigerians. If you care about your people and your country, you can do your part by being honest about your intentions when applying and honest when you get to America. Regards, VO 4 Likes |

lexyj123:None if you don't have good enough ties.. you maybe be married but it's not enough.. you may have good paying job and it may not be enough...Inshort people with no travel experience do get U.S Visit visa why? because they are able to convince the V.O they will come back. 2 Likes |

seyewest:I begin to wonder why someone will just travel to Kenya,Dubai, Ghana or SouthAfrica to do absolutely nothing there. You just spend your cash on flights just to get travel history?men! Not as if you are a business man. I think the VO's will begin to see those who just travel to have travel history as not being sincere, being desperate. Please Nigerians slow down instead wasting cash on travel history, there are a lot of hungry people in Nigeria you can help with that. Yes. You will need the original of all your documents or the one's that you have the original for. So you will need: - birth certificate - Bank statement - Letter from your employer - 1 year bank statement - 6 months payslip These are some that you will need, include any other documents that you have the originals for. All the best. They look at originals only, no photocopies. kokoboy4life: |

KaptainAfrika:Which child hood trauma made you this wicked na?! @pushy clearly @KA was being sarcastic as this question is answered on practically every page. Why we refuse to research continues to beat me. Me I have been reading the Australian thread quietly and learning cos experience trumps any quick answer someone will throw at me. Imagine someone asking for mock interview . Haba!!! That one don pass spoon feeding.... |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by LadyGuinivere: 7:54pm On Jun 09, 2017 |
olorieka:Before we Hazard a guess.... Go through the past applications. What do u think u could have done wrong? Did u misrepresent? What of your husband? BTW your reasons for travel don't make much brain to me sha. You can order online. You can shop in Dubai or UK. Most Clothes in the US aren't made there... #myopinion. And yes. Maybe you should get travel history as a family. You can't be doing the same thing over and over and expect a different result |

Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by iyaaliyah: 5:16am On Jun 10, 2017 |
Olorieka, you were denied about 3times even when you applied with your family, your purpose of visit this time doesn't even sound okay. You can get cloth to buy elsewhere and who buys from US to stock up shop in this kind time. I think you should take time off. You beginning to appear desperate with the 3attempts and now another attempt. You can go to another country. 1 Like |
