MKO was NOT killed, he committed SUICIDE!!!

Yes, unlike the other flattino named Agbari Oju-iku that ran to Ivory Coast and allowed Hausa/Fulani/Yoruba/Kanuri to use over three million stubborn goats from the yEast for pepper soup and suya.

Yoruba leaders stood by him. They didn't betray him, they got a lawyer for him(GOK Ajayi) and later Gani joined him before they poisoned him Aso Rock.

hmmm. Even though he had the people's mandate, Abiola should never have declared himself president. That was a suicidal step. He and his wife paid dearly for their bravery.

Abiola died a month after abacha, so abacha didn't kill him. Rather some abacha loyalist/western powers and unknown people did.

We all die someday anyway, both the killer and the killee

Only few of those reading this post were born before this time.

Only few still understand the meaning of this date in Nigeria's political history.

Only few can differentiate between Military and Civilian Style of government.

He ran away once, came back, was being hidden from from one shanty to another till his silly ar.se was captured and detained till death. He wanted another chance to jaa (take off) but it was denied him because his brothers could not arrange it, plus they even sold him out anyways.

Poor wretched soul, he did not know that his people are sell-outs.

Brave - Yes. Wise?? Don't think so. With the military not being on his side, it was totally hopeless. Add the Nigerian factor to it and you see he was on a long thing.
RIP to the guy. He didn't deserve to die the way he did regardless of what you think of him.

Abiola forgot that,

'He who fight and run will live to fight another day, but he who is in the battle slain can never rise and fight again.

Discretion is a better part of valor, a strong warrior with valor but lack discretion will be slain in some battles.

Unfortunately for MKO those who goaded him to embark on this course ran away from the country leaving him to his fate with the no nonsense Gen. Abacha. Prominent among the runaways were Bola Tinubu and Wole soyinka - typical cowards, though loudmouths.

How can you declare yourself president and commander in chief when you don't command any troops, did he not know that power flows from the barrel of a gun. He should have stayed abroad jejely and wage an insurrection from abroad instead of coming back to Nigeria to declare himself president then went home to be arrested the same day.
