As an Amhara, I've mixed feelings. Amhara provinces were very large, but there wasn't a united Amhara region. The Amhara provinces acted differently.

As an Agew, I prefer the current or the one before 1940s. Agews were very victimized by Amharas and Tigrays. Agews were the original inhabitants of Eritrea, northern and central Ethiopia alongside Afars, but most of there vast Agew Mider(area) was thaken by the two during the past many centuries. Actually, large percentage of Amharas and Tigrays background is Agew. Now they have there own zones, but not region.

I'm a great support for either greater Amhara(re-establishment of Bete Amhara) or greater Agew Mider(Amhara and Tigray regions under Agew Mider).

Overall, I prefer the old provinces, but with some improvements.

If I asked, have you listened Ethiopian Teddy Afro new album? If not, please listen it. It's great. It was even ranked 1st in the Billboard world albums chart for May 20, 2017. It sold 600,000 copies in just one week of it's release.

Do Agew get discriminated against in Ethiopia. A long time ago, I heard about the Agew living near lake Tana and how they have hippo in their diet. Someone was saying how other people use derogatory terms to refer to them. I can't really remember the details.

Are there parts/towns of Ethiopia that are mostly Agew in population.

Do you feel Agew have the original aspects of Amhara-Tigrayan cultures that are absent or have changed in modern-day Tigrays and Amhara? If yes, can you give me examples.

Anyways this thread has entertained,depressed,informed and made me happy the human psychology is indeed wonderful. I have lived in kenya and Nigeria(for nine months) so I know a little about both countries..I must however commend the Ethiopians they have joined this thread and not only have they educated people about their country they have not quarelled or argued with anyone.
I also have to commend fanfic girl she has remained positive despite the ignorant comments from both my country men and her peoples.

P.s khoisan like tribes are not only in Tanzania they are also in kenya known as the waboni in the border region between kenya and Somalia in a forest known as boni forest. Also the akamba and mbeere were the last among the bantu tribe to assimilate the khoisan like tribes in their region and you can see the evidence in That as they are the only bantu speaking tribe in kenya that lives in a semi arid region also physical features can be seen as they are generally shorter than the other Bantu peoples.

That Morocco man visited many African countries after they joined us. Have you noticed. They are just trying to bring the unity sense. And they did the ECOWAS thing to let west Africans think these ppl are really in the pan-african mood. That's how i view it
