Make sure you have your screen guard fixed, if not drop the phone and buy the screen guard tomorrow
Don't forget to flaunt your phone.. You will be amazed at how many peeps have asked me if it was a Samsung. I just laugh and say it a Xiaomi! one of its kind..

Yes, first charge it fully, run it down, and leave it switched off till it's full. Then go system update and disable auto update.
