akmog: I feel the VO would wonder why you are doing another Msc in physics. And for the work experience not related. My advice is to go for a higher level of education in physics and add in your SOP the relationship with your work experience. For travel history I don't know about that. 1 Like |

Ejaloni123: Where are the people saying I cannot apply from Cameroun? Congrats bro!! I am still waiting for my official approval admission by the School of Graduate Studies. Academic Unit already approved admission and full funding $20,000 each year for two years of masters. Graduate Studies department takes 2-4 weeks to approve. The wait has been painful. It would certainly mean I cannot apply in Nigeria due to back log here. Have to obtain a visiting visa to some country with the shortest time given my September resumption date. 2 Likes |

My profile as requested Proposed Program of Study- Ph.D, Biomedical Engineering USASK. Current qualification- BSc. Physics, MSc. Mathematical Sciences. No work experience Source of funding- Secured financial support from my supervisor ($22,000/Year for a minimum of 4years), No SOA....... Landed properties document - from both parents to serves as ties. Application documents: All CIC documents, My personal documents(all relevant credentials and CV), Letter of explanation(Had to explain to the VO why I have to switch between courses and now PhD Engineering.), and Loads of prayers!. I was requested to provide proof of fund transfer by CIC having secured funding from my supervisor. Many thanks to @mazuide , @wealth, and @Judebebo32 encouraging me to keep my hopes high and to be positive. Sincerely, I was having no SOA to show and I didn't show any, but I wrote a letter to the visa officer clarifying my funding status at the University. I got a status update 2weeks and some days. It will end in praise! 9 Likes |

jnyuwa02: I dont just understand you oh... The boss you quoted is a student studying in Rwanda hence has a student permit. Meaning he has a valid reason for applying from Rwanda based on his valid residence status there. Heck, I even applied from China (which was approved) because I have a student status in China and have been there for 3 years now. What is your residence status in Cameroun? Are you not going there just because you felt the Nigerian processing time will delay you? Someone even explained the technicalities earlier which in most cases are rare. If you want to apply from Cameroun, please go ahead and apply. We only gave you our opinions which by the way was a mistake based on your comments. 10 Likes |

jnyuwa02: Dont take unnecessary risk bro but anyway u can try, and your application might enlighten us all. But the guy's situation doesnt apply in your case (at least putting it in context) unless u are also studying or had a valid study/work permit in cameroun. Ejaloni123 had a different immigration status in Rwanda just like Maziude who applied from China and Jude from Poland. Goodluck sha 2 Likes |

rayplace50: I think this where your problem lies. Although some applicants with higher and relevant-to-previous course are rejected too, applying for a lower program and non-relevant to previous degree program increases the chances of rejection based on purpose of visit. Just my little opinion sha. I never chop visa before. Shalom. 1 Like |

oluwaCanny: Two quick rhetorical questions here folks 1. What duration of days is advisable to give VFS after getting an update that your processed passport has been dispatched 2. Aside Faith, Optimism and just believing, how do you know your TRV is approved since you had no opportunity of updating to enable you track..... I had a dream it was approved though lol BOB (Based On Belief) Submitted April 19_ Updated on VFS that Processed passport dispatched June 14 from Accra office how many weeks be that ? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by maziude: 7:31am On Jun 15, 2017 |
Folumade1: You just have to wait till you get the passport boss, since your application was not linked. For collection wait till next week or till you get a message from vfs. |

CanadianNurse: I understand but I've tried searching online but it's actually not the result as i want. Then i narrowed down to remove the toefl. Yet. Twas all because of the urgency, don't wanna look unserious to my parents. Need to leave dis year. He's ready to sponsor but it seems I'm not ready to leave. manlikegb: After incorporation it's necessary for one to apply for: Tax clearance Cert, VAT and TIN (tax identification number ). If the company has not started operation the TCC is written on N/A in the area of amount paid for tax, annual income....etc. I wanted to use my partner as sponsor but the cmpny not running yet. though the Msc is to Prepare me towards manufacturing which the company will eventually be into when operation starts fully. My partner did Mech Engr 1st degree, subsea engr Msc UK, wit 7 digit monthly pay, he's in the oil & gas sector can't quit his job now so i will be the one to manage the cmpny later. Mine is Production Engineering Bsc, propose Msc in Mech Engr ( research in Design & manufacturing). My questions are: 1. is the relationship btw I and sponsor ok considering the cmpny is still very new? 2. Will they think courses are not related because they don't bear the same name? Though I hv work experience in oil & gas for 3yrs and in manufacturing to present is 2yrs. Pls gurus in the house i need advice. Thanks |

@austinpee @thesoj @folumade1 and to everybody on this canada student forum may all our dreams come through in Jesus name. please let us all be weary of this user, really don't know her moniker but her email is tania.ogaje@yahoo.com. i met her here on this platform too and thank God for his guidiance she nearly misled me trying to introduce me to forging statements that she did hers and her passport was approved, she even said she has travelled to Canada and has been comnunicating with me randomly on chat. I became wary when she asked me to credit her naira account that she is broke in Canada, so i asked her how do you intend withdrawing she said before she left she settled her account officer who now enabled her naira card. Immediately i went on red alert coz i am a banker with a 9 years solid experience and i know that's not possible. Well i played along and said no probs ill assist her but where is her province so i could send money directly to her Anyway tired of writing bla bla bla guys just be weary she could be very dubious....... just trying to be my brother and sis keeper 6 Likes |

akmog: Did you write an SOP to justify why you're going for another Masters instead of PhD? The VO in that light may not see progression and therefore question your intent. What area did you do your 1st Masters? Some of this things needed to be well explained with a good SOP |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by maziude: 8:27am On Jun 15, 2017 |
