Politics will not allow them. If there has been a functional seaport in portharcourt and calabar, as well as a 3 functional international airports in ss/Se, everywhere would be like lagos. Imagine you have to travel that far from ss to sw to clear your goods and pay huge tax to Lagos State government before you head back to your state. Traveling around will require you going to Lagos or Abuja cos that's where all the embassy are, what is wrong with having same in PH?

very true, When Fashola was still the governor, all canals are always cleaned, he makes sure they packed the dirty things in them, now this has been abandoned and now flood everywhere, even those people sweeping the road which are the lawma Ambode still dey owe them salaries, anything u see ambode commissioning today it was done by Fashola, Ambode has done nothing special in Lagos apart from clubbing

ahh that's why. you have to understand that Nigerians especially our youths have been conditioned by decades of decay from the IBB/abacha era so they celebrate anything. Some have never known what a functioning city looks like in their lives.

If you knew Lagos in the 70's or 80s you will know Lagos is currently a sh*t hole ( a lot of that due to overpopulation migration/years of neglect). Only in Nigeria do we celebrate being worse than we were.

You are right.

For someone like me, the closest I've gone to seeing a functioning city is seeing the likes of Singapore on TV or the Internet. And a guess there are many of us in this category.

We still have a long way to go, I bet.
