Fela was a chronic womanizer, and he was a reckless one at that. I don't buy into the theory of 'why he married 27 wives'. Besides, that is nothing close to the major event of his life. If we are to highlight important events of his life, it would likely be;
1. The day he was born.
2. The day he died (since you brought up the dates of some dead folks on that same date).
3. The day he was imprisoned.
4. The day he discovered he had HIV/AIDS.
5. Or the day his mother was killed, etc.

There are tons of defining moments in the late Anikulapo's life and I can boldly tell you that marry 27 women is not sitting at the top of the chart.
