Hi, This shouldn't bother you since your kids are citizens. They don't need visa to enter Canada. Just apply for eTA for everyone of them. It's not difficult. Nogen: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by PendD: 12:05pm On Jun 18, 2017 |
Those kids don't have issues to with Canada oh. eTA is all they need. You don't need all that bank statement shit to get their eTA. Just read about it in CIC site. mcobex: |

Osemigho: I think I spent a total of $600-700 for all 9 Canadian schools that I applied for. One irony about Canadian schools is they hardly give out any fee waivers of the application fee. Compare that to U.S. schools that always give out waivers. For example, McGill will only give you a fee waiver after you have paid for it and then petition a special board of the school to prove to them that you cannot pay. Lol. Then if you can, they will refund you the fee which you already paid. Saskatchewan will only give you a waiver if you live in a designated war zone: South Sudan, Somalia, Iraq, etc. I have left no stone unturned in my research of Canadian school and the verdict is: you MUST PAY for the application fee. Perhaps you should find a trusted friend or family member with foreign drawn account and give them the equivalent in naira and have them use their credit card for you. Many schools also accept the application fee by western union or wire transfer from your Nigerian domiciliary account. The only way I could pay for all nine schools is because I have an account in Canada with credit card there. I have lived in the U.S. twenty years, since when I was 10 years. Its routine to open accounts in both USA and Canada if you live there. So that kinda helped me now that I am back home. Good luck with everything fellas. 2 Likes |

mcobex:I agree with you. Also @Nogen , you can go with your kids without a need to apply for visa for them since they are american citizens. However, if they will be with you throughout the duration of your study, you will have to apply for a visa or change their status when you get to canada as american citizens can visit canada for not more than 180days. Any day more than this duration will require a valid visa for them. |

Austinpee4: Applying once in Canada for them to be approved to stay more than six months will require you to leave Canada and return. In essence, your children will need a visa. I say do it right now in Nigeria to prevent unnecessary complications. You have already told cic you are taking the children along with you, so why not proceed based on that premise and apply for visa for them right now. 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Nogen: 4:19pm On Jun 18, 2017 |
jnyuwa02: Thanks to you and everyone who responded to my question. I will have to pay the visa fees for them as well. I don't want stories that touch. Does that mean , they will also do medicals? I'm going for an upfront medical examination. |

jnyuwa02:They would not have to leave and return to canada should she apply to extend or change their status while in canada. Main thing is that it is done 30 days before the expiration of the 180 days. Their visa application will be subject to her being the principal applicant on a study permit and her kids dependents. All the same, which ever decison @Nogen takes, each option is advisable. 1 Like |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Austinpee4: 5:33pm On Jun 18, 2017 |
Mikky4canny:It is not. You do not have to apply seperately for a temporary visa to travel, once your study permit is approved, a visa foil will also be issued. As you can see on your dashboard, it is an optional requirement. Nigerians do not need to provide it. |

Please I need sincere guidance. I wish to apply for postgraduate admission in Canadian University. I really need clarifications on so many things; I have B.sc in Accounting, CGPA of 2.5 i.e 2.2 lower division I am 38 years old, I have worked as contract staff for 7 years. My questions are; 1. Can I get MBA admission with that? 2. Is it possible to get a school that will not require GMAT? 3. Is it possible for me to work while studying so I can take care of myself and dependants at home? 4. How and where do I begin the admission process? Kindly assist to clarify and make useful suggestions Thank you |
