Many african countries speak arabic as their official language, just like french speaking countries. Thats the reason for introducing the two foreign languages. FYI arabic is one of the most widely spoken languages in Africa. Libya, egypt, tunisis, morocco, sudan and some part of mali and Niger all speak arabic.
