Can a Christian lose salvation? Is there any way that salvation can be lost? Once I am saved, is that salvation assured and secured?

What about Judas?
He was with the Master throughout, He was Baptized, Ate and drank with him. went out and came back with him. Witnessed all the miracles, signs and wonders performed by the master.

He was a worker in the fold, a treasurer. When the Master sent them out to preach the Gospel, He empowered them with the Holy Spirit to heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the Lepers, and cast out demons. Judas was not left out. He also received that power.

He partook of the Table where Christ gave them his body and blood to commemorate his dead.

Was Judas a follower of Christ? Yes. Did he backslide? Yes.

l think if a Christian becomes insensitive to the spirit, he can fall into Satan's hands.
Satan is very crafty.

No, You cannot lose your salvation. Salvation cannot be lost because it is a free gift of God. God's gifts are irrevocable.

Good.

Once Saved Always Saved is simply one of those false teachings from a deceived world (Rev. 12:9). And it is common to hear them say, "A true Christian can't lost salvation". Of course, such argument also serves as one of those clever counterfeits from the "prince of the power of the air" (Ephesians 2:2), one that sweeps the unsuspecting and un-discerning off their feet, albeit, in error.

This deception is made plain in light of the truth that a Christian is of no TYPES, i.e, true & false (I'd rather called those who claimed to be Christians and are not as "impostors or liars" ), as one either have the Holy Spirit and is a Christian or becomes "none of His" when lacking it (Romans 8:9).

Now, going by the prayers of David in Psalm 51:11-12, we see that the Holy Spirit- which invariably means SALVATION (yes, it is the Spirit that guarantees salvation [Romans 8:11, Ephesians 1:13-14]) can be taken away- lost! And then such chapters & verses like 1 Corinth 9:27, Ephesians 4:30, Hebrews 6:4-6, 2 John 1:8 etc. The point is clear!

But then, I know that the master counterfeiter & twister will always do his works of deceiving, and it is the unsuspecting that ends up becoming his prey.

First, the term Christian must be defined. A “Christian” is not a person who has said a prayer or walked down an aisle or been raised in a Christian family. While each of these things can be a part of the Christian experience, they are not what makes a Christian. A Christian is a person who has fully trusted in Jesus Christ as the only Savior and therefore possesses the Holy Spirit (John 3:16 ; Acts 16:31 ; Ephesians 2:8–9 ).

A Christian is a new creation. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” (2 Corinthians 5:17 ). A Christian is not simply an “improved” version of a person; a Christian is an entirely new creature. He is “in Christ.” For a Christian to lose salvation, the new creation would have to be destroyed.

A Christian is justified. “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” ( Romans 5:1 ). To justify is to declare righteous. All those who receive Jesus as Savior are “declared righteous” by God. For a Christian to lose salvation, God would have to go back on His Word and “un-declare” what He had previously declared. Those absolved of guilt would have to be tried again and found guilty. God would have to reverse the sentence handed down from the divine bench.

A Christian is promised eternal life. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” ( John 3:16 ). Eternal life is the promise of spending forever in heaven with God. God promises, “Believe and you will have eternal life.” For a Christian to lose salvation, eternal life would have to be redefined. The Christian is promised to live forever. Does eternal not mean “eternal”?

A Christian is marked by God and sealed by the Spirit. “You also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory” ( Ephesians 1:13–14 ). At the moment of faith, the new Christian is marked and sealed with the Spirit, who was promised to act as a deposit to guarantee the heavenly inheritance. The end result is that God’s glory is praised. For a Christian to lose salvation, God would have to erase the mark, withdraw the Spirit, cancel the deposit, break His promise, revoke the guarantee, keep the inheritance, forego the praise, and lessen His glory.

A Christian cannot lose salvation. All what the Bible says happens to us when we receive Christ would be invalidated if salvation could be lost. Salvation is the gift of God, and God’s gifts are “irrevocable” ( Romans 11:29 ). A Christian cannot be un-newly created. The redeemed cannot be unpurchased. Eternal life cannot be temporary. God cannot renege on His Word. Scripture says that God cannot lie (Titus 1:2 ).

Two common objections to the belief that a Christian cannot lose salvation concern these experiential issues: 1) What about Christians who live in a sinful, unrepentant lifestyle? 2) What about Christians who reject the faith and deny Christ? The problem with these objections is the assumption that everyone who calls himself a “Christian” has actually been born again. The Bible declares that a true Christian will not live a state of continual, unrepentant sin (1 John 3:6 ). The Bible also says that anyone who departs the faith is demonstrating that he was never truly a Christian (1 John 2:19 ). He may have been religious, he may have put on a good show, but he was never born again by the power of God. “By their fruit you will recognize them” (Matthew 7:16 ). The redeemed of God belong “to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God” (Romans 7:4 ). Nothing can separate a child of God from the Father’s love (Romans 8:38–39 ). Nothing can remove a Christian from God’s hand (John 10:28–29 ). God guarantees eternal life and maintains the salvation He has given us.

Did Judas believed fully in Cbrist? Did he partook of the blessedness of Christ?

Are Christ's followers today better than those who were present with him?

Did Judas lose his salvation or not? Or will you say he didn't have it in the first place?

...but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
Hebrews:10:38

So,there's a turning back? What are these ones turning back from?

If once saved is always saved, why will the Holy Spirit say this?

My dear, if we shd tackle all the scriptures you posted here, there will come out saying something else.

The 5 foolish virgins, lost their salvation true or false?

They were called virgins, they expected the master just like the wise once, meaning they belonged to the fold, but why were they locked out when the master eventually came?

No there is nothing like losing salvation.
Anyone who draws back was actually acting to be one of us.
Jesus said He knows His own and no one can pluck them out of His hand.
Don't be deceived, those who always draw back were actually not born again. They are religious people acting like Christians.

Philippians 3:20
But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.

You see, as Christians we are citizens of Heaven.
Again religious people who act like Christians are not. They are pretenders and makes you think salvation is lost.

The fact that Judas was with Jesus doesn't mean he was saved.

Junia raised these pertinent questions/issues, which i am restating here, to which it will be nice to have your response:
1. Can the "New creation" (2 Cor. 5:17) be destroyed?
2. Will God "un-declare" what in his righteousness he has previously declared justified (Rom. 5:1)?
3. Does eternal life (John 3:16) not mean eternal?
4. Will God go back on his promise and cancel the deposit that guarantees eternal life (Eph. 1:13-14)?

Direct references (specifically addressing each of these issues) in the Bible to your responses will be most useful.

Those who lose focus weren't Christians. The way you see Christians is why you say all these things.
A Christian has eternal life and cannot lose it.
A Christian is a citizen of Heaven.
A Christian is lead by the Holy Spirit.
A Christian does not live in sin.
The power of sin is broken in the life of a Christian.

Judas was not born again.
None of the disciples were, until Jesus died.

Judas was just following. Didn't the bible describe him as a thief. Was he not still living in sin

Those who lose focus, they weren't Christians. When the test comes, you will know those who are Christians and those who aren't.

Again, no Christian lives in sin.

Backsliding doesn't mean you have lost your salvation. It only means you are not matured enough to know who you are in Christ. Thus, you find it difficult to live as a Christian.

Jesus said no one can take pluck His own from His hands.
Christians are citizens of Heaven.
We are cealed with the Holy Spirit.
We are given eternal life.
The gift of Salvation is irrevocable.
Go and read my first reply to the op. You will understand better.

Yes. He never lost His Salvation. Heaven is for those who believe in Jesus. That alone guarantees you Heaven.

Is the free gift conditional or not? undecided
The moment you receive it, it is not taken away from you.

You have not answered my question. Is the free gift a conditional or an unconditional gift? undecided

No.
No apostate was first of all a Christian. They are just pretenders. Go and ask them the reason they renounced their faith, you would wonder if they have read the bible before.

Once they are saved can they ever lose it? undecided

what differentiate a Christian from a sinner

A Christian has no sin in him

A sinner has sin in him, so a Christian can't lose his salvation as long as they are not sinning. And sin means a conscious act of sin, not the one a preacher would say because I killed a rat when I have sinned, or because I use raid in my house, then, I have killed. Not that kind of sin, sin to me means, knowing what is good and not doing it.

Saying none of the Disciples was saved won't be correct sir. What makes a man saved is the Holy Spirit in them and the Apostles, all 12 of them had Him, hence, them healing the sick, casting out devils, and raising the dead even when the Master was still with them.

If you say no disciple was saved, i can agree, but the Apostles were and Judas was an Apostle, not just a disciple.

Tell me one thing today's Christians are partakers of that Judas didn't partake of. Nothing. They may not have carried the presence of Jesus with them where ever they went because Christ was still with them in the flesh, nevertheless, they were empowered to do what even today's Christians can't do.

Judas was saved sir.
