Hmy2015:It is very normal. Your profile won't be updated until it is attended to by the VO. so just be calm. |

Kowalskiq: You may never get a response seeing as the only time you are encouraged to send a mail is if your application has exceeded processing time, or if they request for documents, so if you keep on mailing them, you may just end up putting a lot of spotlight on your application which may or may not be good, cos coming across as desperate, may also act negatively to your application |

Chai, I have not even gotten a visa yet or arrived campus, first class already gonna start this summer online running July 21st to August 31st. School resumes Sept 6th. Sounds like this research program in Canada is not going to be easy oo! I think I am gonna ignore their message pretending I never heard, until TRV is approved. |

Douglaseguakun:You have every right to shun your degree. I have always been business oriented but cause my dad is a professor of Nuclear Engineering, he doesn't believe in any Arts or social science course. Most of us were made to take 1st degrees that we didn't want. I shunned my BSc in Pure and Industrial chemistry. Moved into working for an import and export company. Applied for TRV to study PGD in global business management and I got it. Follow your heart and your passion my dear. You will excel when you are doing what you want to do. 4 Likes |

mesh2003: @mesh2003 @Folaroyal @Osemigho @wealth360 @yemdogg @Austinpee4 @Eraytee @michv(trv doctor) @Graviton2 @nelly28 and everyone with valuable input, please help me look into this. I have B.Tech degree in Biochemistry. Graduated in 2011, and finished NYSC in 2013. I have since then been into real estates and I have a registered company of my own. However, because I graduated with a 2.5cgpa I think its best I put in for a PGC course as my cgpa is low for a Msc program. I’m considering Global Business Management. Please knowledgeable people in the house, does this correlate and show career progression? Thanks for your help. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by mesh2003(f): 6:16pm On Jun 22, 2017 |
manlikegb: Real estate is business related. its does show some progression. Apart from my employment papers, I had to submit proof that I engaged in business related trainings. I submitted certificates of training that I took-PMP, Microsoft Project office training, primavera and co. I also submitted pictures of trade fairs that I went to in Paris, Amsterdam and Dubai. Anything to show that you have been in the business world. Are you self-employed? If you are, what happens to your business when you travel? You have to convince the VO that your business will run smoothly when you are gone with proof and you are going for this program to get more knowledge on how to effectively run and manage your business. I had 3.0gpa so I couldn't go into MBA. I also wrote that I was going for a PGD because of my low gpa which the VO knows is difficult to get into an MBA with. When you are done, you can go for an MBA but you still need to write GMAT for some schools. The schools I contacted don't waive it even with the PGD but they can wave courses. With the PGD, you can shorten your MBA program. MUM told me I can finish it in 2 semesters cos they will wave about 7 courses for me. Its not about saying that you have a registered company, you have to show that you have been running the company if that's your source of income or if you want to use it as a base for going for global business management. 2 Likes |

tysaxmalomo: Oga carry your pessimistic mind and stay in your lane... Which kind talk be dis Even if you want to advise or air your opinion, there are more diplomatic and polished ways to do it.. That's how people like you (not necessarily you) were telling me not to apply for a Masters degree, because I didn't have a high CGPA, but guess what, I didn't listen to your kind... I applied for a Masters and I got it.. Man made Rules don't always apply, I'm a Christian, good things always come my way. That doesn't mean, I don't put great effort into achieving things, as the Bible says "faith without work is meaningless" I got admitted, and I believe I will get my Visa... I know I will get my Visa, unless God doesn't approve, and I know HE does!!! Bookmark this my comment, save it for reference. This is not bragging, I know who I am 5 Likes |
