I have been one before, but I felt empty. I realised I couldn't live without being a Christian. Though I was sinning, the Holy Spirit kept telling me who I actually was and brought me back safely.

If you are a son, you will surely return no matter how you backslide.

So I can conclude that they were saved for the fact that they believed Jesus sometimes and followed His instructions.

But sometimes too, they choose to displease God.

Thomas. He didn't believe that Jesus had resurrected. So if he knew the Messiah will die and resurrect and doubted that Jesus had resurrected, then he has actually doubted that He is the Messiah.

Don't say what the Bible did not say. Thomas needed physical evidence of Jesus' resurrection which was after Jesus' death and burial. The Scriptures did not say that he doubted that Jesus was the Messiah.

Rev2:4-5 is out of context of the subject matter don't you think?
1.Christ was addressing the church in Epesus not an individual or part of the body of Christ.
2.it has nothing to do with Salvation been lost which is a free gift but everything to do with entering His Kingdom which demands WORKS!

While it may be true that many religious folks are not saved it is not safe to say that many who at one time committed their lives to the Lord were not saved.

They will surely make heaven if they get restored to the faith before death. See the example of David in Psalm 51.
