ollah1: It's me that should go and listen to Hard knock life... That sound that's for kids. See, my point is, the demise of 2pac and Biggy gave someone like Jayz the leverage, because when 2pac and Biggy were alive... The only Jay Z song I can listen to then was "Sunshine" ft Foxy You can't compare anything Jay Z has to 2pac and Biggy era with Changes, Dear mama, Do for love, Juicy, Hypnotise, Big Popa Especially 2pac, listen to the poetic lyrics in Dear mama, My Block, Thug Mansion, Till the end of time and Changes and tell me if the stuffs you put up there came close. 2pac is simply a misguided Poet! But that's if you know anything about Poetry |

Whoever is behind that account is a coward and depraved person. Already he's a bad influence on the young boy, and now he continues to slide the boy's person into a deep abyss of delinquency. He wants to ruin whatever bright future the boy has with statements like this. That account should be investigated and the real face behind it exposed. I'm so sure that this boy does not have such composure and twisted intelligence to spit this trash. |

ayindejimmy: Does the bolded mean, the song is for kids or you aren't a kid? Anyways, i was talking about the album and not just the hit track "hard knock life". Part of the hits were "can i get i", "Nigga what, Nigga who" "Money cash hoes". You can't compare Jay Z to those Legends. They were streets all they their lives and yes 2pac got poetic lines. It's part of the reason i enjoyed listening to Nas than Jay Z and during their beef, I was in Escobar's camp. The only illest rapper that came close to 2pac and Biggie was Big L( you might not know him tho). He didn't live long to cement his legacy to larger audience. The demise of the duo paved way for more rappers. Usually when they drop their songs, all other rappers go into hiding. Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre weren't really relevant back then sef despite been known . You also need to understand that back then, Grammy never really gave awards to blacks. R.Kelly during his time didn't win it either. These rappers gave every Bleep about Soul train and source. To them, it recognise blacks and the streets. Rap is commercialised now hence the sudden increase of rappers with little or no puchlines. Hiphop is dead ~ Nastradamus ( Hiphop Nostradamus) |

ollah1: Sure, I'm a 90s kid, I know Big L, he's gangsta too with hits like "put it on" I also know Rakim, Dre, Mc Liat, Da Brat, Lil Kim, Missy Elliot, Domino, Heavy D, Queen Latifah, Nas,.. Even Vanilla Ice and the rest. YEAH! Gangster rap and Hip hop are truly dead |

gbula: Lol, Jayz ain't hardcore than Big and Pac oo. No go talk am for streets oo. Even if you succeed within your camp, no talk am for NY or CA oo. That being said, Jay z didn't serve any time. He also stole loads of Biggie's lines. You must be a newbie |

I don't usually comment on here but I have actually lost respect to Falz with this his holier than thou attitude which is a weakness in most Nigerians, because he should know better and stop disgracing himself by spewing trash an educated illiterate would. Let's ask ourselves why hasn't anyone had problems with rap artists In the US for promoting drug smuggling with tracks like Gucci Mane "Bricks",TI "Dope Boys"Nas "street dreams"50 cent "corner bodega"or Rick Ross "hustling". It's because they have a viable entertainmemt censorship agency that is why u see parental advisory for explicit content on most rap artist CD,s and mixtapes so that holier than thou advocates like Falz would steer clear of buying the CD,s and everyone goes home smiling. What Falz should be concerned about is government support for Nollywood and having a viable censorship agency, if he has a problem with anyone's music lyrics he should channel his grievances to Nigerian censorship boards. Nigerians like to bedevil their own a lot more than it should be, there are internet fraudsters in about every country of the world and even the US has its fair share of them, they are loads of internet fraudsters in countries like Romania, Cyprus, Philippines,India,China,Turkey but u never hear them bedevil their own. Artist ought to produce songs thats a reflection of the society at large and I haven't seen any Nigerian song promoting fraud so far so good, if anyone knows of any, I'm all ears,Falz rant is typical of a "Omo get inside"ovegrown baby. |
