GAZZUZZ: My digital multimeter is missing but will get one from one of my electrician boys. I will have time for this on Monday. I was able to remove the stuck front left ABS with hydraulic this morning. Cleaning it didnt help, by the time i reversed to gate the ABS showed. After restarting, no ABS till i got to work 30miles away. I felt the ABS kicking in just once but briefly. I was considering a scan when i get time but the guys dont let you be incharge of your own scan feeling they know better. They usually end up just telling you the code and have no idea what it means. About K24Z3, your comment stroke a memory when buying my friends Z3 engine. At the point of buying i didnt know the difference so i paid less attention to the sensor but can remember vividly that the Z3 we got had only 2 connectors, 1 solenoid and 1 oil switch. But my friends sensor has 4, 2 solenoid and 2 oil swtiches. So we couldnt use the sensor on the new engine. We used the sensor from the old engine. Before exchanging the sensors, we confirmed that both engines had exactly the same oil ports on the sensor location. Its confusing on why some cars will have the 2 and others 4 connectors. |

Hello house, please where can i get the recommended original power steering fluid for honda accord? Its crazy how its so easy to get recommended toyota fluids, coolant, power steering fluid, engine oils, brake fluid etc. honda is just as popular in Nigeria so i do not really get why it should be a struggle to just as easily find its own specified lubricants..seeing as honda is even less tolerant of pouring nonsense fluids inside it. |

captainking: What can damage your automatic transmission Most of the transmission problems starts from overheating. Under heavy load, such as when towing a heavy trailer, rocking the vehicle from the snow, having continuous stop and go traffic in hot weather, racing, etc. the transmission overheats. At higher temperatures the transmission oxidizes, losing its lubricating qualities and leaving deposits all over inside the transmission. If you'd check the automatic transmission fluid in an overheated transmission, it would be dark and dirty, with a strong burnt smell. Exposed to the heat the rubber seals, O-rings become hard and brittle. The metal parts warp causing valves to stick in. All this, sooner or later, results in transmission failure. For example, a friend of mine has burned his automatic transmission when he was spinning the wheels too hard trying to free his shiny Audi from the snow; it was on the next day after he bought it! However, overheating is not the only reason; sometimes an automatic transmission problems are caused by design flaws faulty parts, lack of maintenance or poor rebuilt job. A too low or even too high transmission fluid level or wrong transmission fluid type can also cause transmission problems. A person I know added a gear oil into the automatic transmission by mistake - guess what happen - the transmission failed after 40 minutes of driving! http://www.samarins.com/maintenance/transmain.html |
