That the money (CAD) needed for living expenses can be exported from Nigeria when needed. The bank said that they cannot write that because policy changes, that CBN decide to stop form A or any other forex transaction at any day and if they cannot provide me the CAD, I can use the letter against them. cashhip: 1 Like |

Nogen: When I applied for mine, they told me that now it takes 30 working days to get the CAQ. I got mine exactly on the 30th day. So if you calculate and it's more than 26 days, call their number and complain. You should get it |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by CanadianNurse: 8:16pm On Jun 25, 2017 |
cashhip:lol @famous the letter clearly stated the two clauses they want to see 1) they money is on deposit 2)they money can be exported under CBN forex policy conditions These are the two things the bank must boldly state in that letter.... Most banks might be scared to add the second clause but they can add a disclaimer like "this letter is given in strict confidence and not a responsibility of the bank or its staff blah blah blah" Or you can easily get the letter using a domiciliary account! 2 Likes |

Hello house, please I need an urgent answer to my problem. I just received a mail from cic which they tagged as 'procedural fairness'. It happened that sometime last year, I applied for a non-immigrant visa to U.S which I was denied. Now, while applying for my Canadian study visa, I forgot to indicate that I was once denied an American visa, and cic have found out. They sent me a message informing about this error in my application, at the same time, tagging it that I may have engaged in a mis-representation. The good thing though is that I have been given 15 days to respond to this query. House, please how do I go about resolving this issue? What documents do I need to send to CIC to let them know that it was an error on my side and not a mis-representation. Please query is also attached. I would like a honest and sincere respond to my problem. Thank you.

helpyom:I would say 17-25. However, if the are VERY strong and VERY convincing reasons going for undergraduate program as an older applicant, it's still possible but reasons have to be very cogent. This would be because at a younger age, the primary intention will be more established than when an applicant is older. Alot might be considered for an older person. Preceding events and gaps, economic situation, interest and the viability of obtaining or completing a degree after a certain age and the chances of employability in Nigeria, pending responsibilities(marriage, commitments, etc). Also note, each applicant is considered a potential migrant. They will consider all you are bringing to their country, your chance of a smooth transition, your value after a certain period(age and achievements inclusive) and also your ability to study without recourse to their resources for any reason whatsoever. |

Yes I received this mail from CIC today. Around 2.35pm this afternoon. A notification was sent to my mail box, then I went to my account in their portal to read the message. Please I will be grateful for any advise that may be given. Thank you. matic12: |
