crixcrox:No, it will not. IRCC stipulates that funds in LIQUID funds MUST be available for tuition and living expenses for the first year. So by this, showing a source of funds without showing the actual money will not meet this requirement. Let your sponsor show that funds are available. By the way, i'll advice he transfer these cash into your personal account. |

Markab: Oga this is a rule of your own creation oh. Some schools simply frown at submitting stuff if you were not asked to. I applied to the military Defence program at the University of Calgary. And to McGill law school. They require two recommendations. I remember them saying a third recommendation if you obtained one, will not be read. That is to give all applicants and even playing field. So at some schools obtaining a supervisor when you were not asked to, might imperil your application or simply be ignored. 1 Like |

odalonu12:- $12k-$17k for one year - No. One year pgd gives you one year post graduate work permit. 2 or more years in school gives you 3 years Pgwp. So if you complete a one year pdg, your work permit will be for one year after which you must apply for PR or leave Canada. - That is the minimum wage. They differ from province to province btw. You should read up on these things. Google can help. |

[quote author=likeababygirl post=57884150] 1. I don't think the PGD gives any extra advantage in applying for a masters cos your undergraduate degree result will still be used for admission. PGD gives you an advantage when applying for masters. It all depends on the program and school. I did global business management and going for an MBA. Some schools I have contacted will waive between 6-8 courses so far I have 75% and above which I do. It shortens the program and will save cost for me. My undergraduate degree will still be used as well as GMAT which cant be waived. 1 Like |

jnyuwa02: Boss, You go like quarrel oh. You dont just attack people's opinion, you either accept it or not. The fact that it worked for you doesnt mean it would for others. There is no harm whatsoever in securing a supervisor even if the school says it is not required. It is left for the applicant to either do it or not... 4 Likes |
