wayodude: It's not as straightforward as that, they are not paying a lot of money for him. He is a player they will buy and if he doesn't meet the requirements they can still sell for various little profit. It's business not just football. Francisco Junior turned down offers from Manchester city, etc and came to Everton at age 19, having played for Portugal U21, was on near £10k a week from Benfica fc. He played a couple of games for Everton. He was an EU citizen and did not require a work permit. Today after all the hype he is playing for lowly Norwegian side in an obscure league, going nowhere fast. Onyekuru is just on a very long road that may not lead to the premiership. There are many mountains to climb. Wish him well but these are the harsh realities.l |

He has not resigned yet. China: Martins Scores Twice, Ujah On Target As Shanghai Thrash Liaoning By James Agberebi: Former Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins bagged a brace as Shanghai Shenhua thrashed fellow Nigerian striker Anthony Ujah’s Liaoning Hongyun 8-1 in the Chinese Super League on Friday. Anthony Ujah scored Liaoning Hongyun’s only goal. Fredy Guarin opened scoring for Shanghai in the 10th minute, Martins made it 2-0 in the 13th minute before an own goal from Xiantian Shi made it 3-0. Martins scored his second goal of the match in the 31st minute to give Shanghai a 4-0 lead before Giovanni Andres Moreno got on the score sheet to make it 5-0. Guarin grabbed Shanghai’s sixth goal on 43 minutes before Ujah scored on 62 minutes to bring the score to 6-1. In the 65th minutte, Moreno netted his second goal of the game for Shanghai’s seventh goal before Lu Zhang rounded up the score with a 90th minute strike. The goals were Martins’ fifth and sixth in seven appearances this season, while Ujah has now scored five goals in 12 appearances. The win took Shanghai to seventh on 19 points in the 16-team league. Liaoning Hongyun occupy the 13th spot on 13 points. http://www.completesportsnigeria.com/china-martins-scores-twice-ujah-hits-consolation-goal-shanghai-maul-liaoning/ 1 Like |

komekn: So you think coaches spend time working on formations for nothing. We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." komekn: Benteke can work in Sam Allardyce system but that is not the kind of system the top performing coaches in Europe play. Allardyce is yet to get to a level of doing what Klopp has done in football. So Benteke should stick to Allardyce analog system. Not carrying his kind of play for expansive possessive systems. So next time you guys are suggesting big target man, ask yourself the system of the coach first. Thanks men. 3 Likes |

edi287: Isaac Success is also an EU Citizen before he moved to Watford?! Iheanacho..... I guess is also an EU Citizen before he was signed by Man City?! I really don't understand why some of you won't take time to study a Scenario before jumping on Board to defend the indefensible out of Favoritism. Have you heard of Exceptional Talent Clause to get Work Permit in UK?! Kindly do some Homework on it pls. It won't hurt you. .....Although Iheanacho does not qualify for a work permit but City intend to use the exceptional talent rule to secure a work permit for him, the same rule with which Chelsea signed John Mikel Obi back in 2006. 3 Likes |

TheGoodJoe: You seem to be obsessed to turning mere men and football managers into infallible demi gods. Hinging everything you say not on personal inspection, experience and study but quotes of other men. Using your methodology Lucien Favre the current manager of Nice. Who has an even better Pedigree than Klopp and is considered a modern and forward thinking top Manager. Pushing an average Nice way beyond all projections to the top level of French Football. It is the same Lucien that picked up a totally rejected, denigrated and ignored Balotelli by Klopp. Giving him the opportunity to express himself and propelling Nice to the top of the French league 1, for the larger part of the season. The same Balotelli has scored more goals than both of Klopps top forwards combined, Coutinho and Mane considering his Klopps modern unbeatable football strategy according to you. Furthermore, Balotelli was restricted by Injury so missed probably near 20% of this seasons games. Balotelli has now re-confirmed himself as one of the top strikers in the World, after the rubbish he experienced at Liverpool. Benteke left Liverpool to a lower level Crystal Palace after being denigrated and abused by Klopp. Nonetheless, he scored more goals than both of Liverpools highest goalscorers Coutinho and Mane. So in reality Klopp shows a lack of strategic capacity, understanding and versatility because he didn't know how to fuse a top striker into his strategic modern game plan. He simply failed. So stop the unsubstantiated and sentimental hero worshiping of managers. Be more objective and analytical, I do believe you can. 6 Likes |

komekn: The way you come up with repeated blunders baffles me. What gives Favre more pedigree than Klopp? Nothing. You made that up to sell your fantasy. The 2014–15 Bundesliga season was Favre's most successful season to date, with Gladbach finishing in third place and directly qualifying for the 2015–16 UEFA Champions League group stage. Talk of more pedigree than Klopp. Please Balotelli is scoring in Ligue 1. He was a big flop in the EPL. 2 Likes |

Oasis007: Chairman, I tire for your argument oo, OK let me agree with you say henry is not an exceptional player, cos he has not proven himself, does it mean that success is an exceptional player for him to get the work permit?. Try google that work permit stuff and see how it works, success case may have been cos of relationship BTW owner of the same club, remember iheanacho was player for the U21 side of city for almost a year, check those factors please. henry is not too fantastic before we start expecting miracle from him, let the guy be given room to express himself before we crucify am. Anderlecht is even a bigger club than Everton if he can prove himself there, then it shldnt be a hard job in Everton. |

No matter wetin person do people must talk, I remember when nacho went to city they said he won't perform that he shld go for a small club, but the guy proved dem wrong and performed exceptionally well until pep decided not to use him, now he is going for a small club people still dey complain. Thank God henry did not sign for arsenal cos people for talk tire, let's give the guy a chance abeg. sontoly2: So it's crime to respond to a Quote?! Also it's a Crime to enlighten a Dude who actually is not well informed?! You ain't tired of reading flimsy Excuses flowing up and down here as regard the Reason Onyekuru couldn't secure the Work Permit, but you are tired of my Response?! If a Guy quoted me to refute my Assertion on a Particular Issue, but because someone like you would be tired and frustrated, hence I should just fold Arms and ignore?! On Success Case, he got the Work Permit by the Virtue of his Transfer Fee, Wage and moving from a Top League to another Top League. However, it wasn't the same with Iheanacho. He was issued the Work Permit solely based on Exceptional Talent Rule same as John Obi Mikel when he joined Chelsea. If you ain't sure, I will like to redirect you to your Suggestion for me - Google is waiting! SMH! 1 Like |

Is the Jupiler league a top 5 league in europe like the La liga?? Do you honestly think it makes sense to compare a EU citizen case like Mbappe to that of Onyekuru? Wasn't Issac Success Watford's most expensive player?? You yourself need to stop jumping into conclusion |

edi287: Am I? LOL! See..... no one is hating on anyone or any Player, coz I believe that's where you are definitely heading to. Did you even know the Reason for the Comparison? I doubt it! Football is known as a Factor that's uniting us in this Country, however if the Factor is gradually failing to unite us, then there is really a big Problem. We should be more friendly with our Approaches and counter-arguments on this Thread, as well as do away with "He hates him" Nonsense. What "we" that some of you termed as "Haters" are saying is; we should stop over-hyping our Stars because they ain't there yet. And that's the Reason I brought in Mbappe who is 18yrs old and already a world recognized Talent. We should give our Stars chance to prove their respective Talents..... they have huge Potentials, but fulfilling the Potentials and becoming great Players from Africa Soil is what we are asking for! You can't become a great Player by siting on the Bench, playing in a low League or plying your Trade in the Asian Continent. 2 Likes |

sontoly2: It's not about liking the move cause in reality he has not moved to Everton they have just bought him. What I am saying have cautious expectation consider Everton current history and internal politics. The word HATE has nothing what so ever to with thus discussion. Consider Oumar Niasse bought for £13.5 million by Martinez. Just after 2 or 3 games and the internal politics he was not given a squad number. Then add insult to injury he was demoted to U23. He then leaves on loan to Hull and has a reasonably good impact in relegation club. What I am saying better be in a club that really infact desperately need you to play. Than a club that could just add you to thier asset base for possible future reference. Everton is a club I know well and there are other things I could say. Reference to Francisco is indicative of what could happen, I am sure you can understand that uncomplicated fact. |

BascoVanVeli: Rodgers missed it. I was against it from the start even though I am not a Liverpool fan. Remember, Liverpool lost form and a wrong forward choice was one of the reasons. Speed, Skill and Mobility is the key word. If your forward can not tick these, it is hard to fit in the modern game. 1 Like |

sontoly2: Nacho actually looks like if he is not fast because he is not extravagant on the ball. He does not like making runs with the ball or pulling off footie tricks. However, off the ball, he is really fast. Watch his counters with City or his off the ball runs to get into position to score. You will see he is fast. But, I agree with you that Leicester City might not be the right choice for Nacho. I prefer Nacho playing for a team known for possessive attacking play and attack with numbers. Also with a brilliant passing maestro behind the forward. Leicester does not seem the club. |

Oasis007: In principle you are correct but there was actually more to Isaac move than meets the eye. Consider the family proprietary ownership of Watford, Udinese and Granada at that time prior and afterwards. Consider the issues of asset transfer and mix it with little Italian mafia and you have the perfect soup. |

komekn: For now, Everton is not the subject to propel Onyekuru immediately. What is important is the young man continuing his banging form at Anderlecht. It is the actions of the Anderlecht Execs and Onyekuru that matters now. After that, we can talk of Evertonian Politics. |

chrisooblog: The words you use most lethal finisher I agree with. However, we need more unfortunately we do not have a Balotelli or a Lukaku, who can hold up play and bring others into the game or single handedly run the game and score. Anichebe has an abysmal scoring record and Ideye has a better scoring record at club level. However, I would have Anichebe because he is just beast of a player to play against. I actually think he may be able to do more at National team level than club level without the restrictions of Sunderland team strategy. Optimistically I am waiting for the EPL to start and watching out for some Nigerian origin strikers hitherto unknown to announce thier presence. |
