Dont see electric car becoming readily available for mass production in the next 20 years. How many Americans or Europeans can afford an electric car now? Morever, there are hardly any manaufacturer that have an electric car that is meant for a family of 5 and above (The SUVs and bigger Limousins are still not available). At the moment, it is only Tesla that is driving the market and their cars are not cheap.

As much as there is no cause for alarm for now, we should start diversifying now before the world leaves up behind.

Oga liquified gas and gasoline aren't d same thing.. What dey call gasoline is what we call petrol.. Gasoline Car production dropping means their demands for our crude will drop and with tym we'll b d only ones using it considering the west have already started using using alternative fuel (biogas) and even exploring more options.

Tesla alone has cornered about 5% of american market within just few years.

As I see it, even 8 years is too long with the way things are going.

Dude, take a chill pill.
Everything about automobiles revolves around energy in whichever form and you know very well energy cannot be created. If Mr A ascends a hill through the steepy side while Mr B did same through a less steepy side, both expend same energy as long as both cover same vertical height.
Take it or leave it, energy in chemical form is the most flexible in terms of conversion and whichever technology is invented today, as long as energy consumption is involved, everything will still point towards fossil fuel.
Science is yet to come up with an alternative energy source competitive with fossil fuel.
Let's wait and see how events unfold.

No energy source beats fossil fuel in terms of flexibility and affordability.
Science is yet to make the breakthrough of discovering an alternative energy source competitive with fossil fuel.

Good one, this is when nigeria will have to look at other natural resources like tin, gold, tourism e.t.c for revenue generation
