Like manning checkpoints in Mali while France does the cleaning up.
If it takes just manning checkpoints,to end bloody civil wars, like we did in Liberia and Sierra Leon...or receiving a hearty welcome from the locals in Mali.by now DRC should be a peaceful country.

According to you france was responsible
For Liberia, Sierra Leone, Gambia
Even where France is deployed Mali n Ivory coast we sent boats to help out.
Nigeria boats in Somalia n Darfur

Did you fight? No, Sierra Leone was cleared up by South African mercenaries.

Gambia? There was never a war there so you didn't solve anything

Mali, you're just France' security boys. You don't even know where the enemy is at.

Kenya and Uganda actually fights in Somali not Nigeria

Darfur? Seriously? Everyone is there so it's nothing to write home about.

The Nigerian navy is currently in talks to buy warships from PT-PAL in Indonesia.

Unfortunately, the link is in Indonesian, and if i post it here, i might get a ban from the anti-spambot.

Link has now been provided. Use Google Translate to read story.

U forgot to add, in addition to cleaning up, French forces were busy bleeping and raping the locals they were sent to protect. What an irony, but I guess no one cares about that, certainly not a news people would want to share.

The Nigerian navy has 2 options from PT PAL in Indonesia.

The KCR-60 and the SSV(Strategic Sealift Vessel)

I have personally advocated for the KCR-60 in this thread to replace our older missile boats.

The KCR-60 is a 60 meters vessel, a small Corvette used extensively by the Indonesian navy. It has a low radar signature and comes with a Chinese combat module.

The KCR-60.

The second vessel available to the Nigerian navy is the SSV. The SSV is a brilliant ship, ordered by the Philippines navy, and used to transport men and equipment to Malawi, the SSV would be a very good addition to the Nigerian navy.

The SSV is 123 meters long These vessels are critical assets for civil-military operations due to their capability of transporting large number of soldiers, logistics, and supplies. Moreover, each SSV has the capacity to house three helicopters.

Bro. You type rubbish a lot.

Although no public statement was made, diplomatic sources indicated that the Nigerian government had delivered an ultimatum to the coup leaders, who had formed themselves into an Armed Forces Revolutionary Council (afrc) in alliance with the ruf, to leave power and restore the elected president.149 Nigerian government radio stated that the Nigerian troops would adopt a policy of "containment,"150 but on June 2, following a breakdown of negotiations for the peaceful restoration of the Kabbah government led by the Nigerian and British high commissioners, Nigerian naval vessels stationed off Freetown began shelling the capital. Guinean troops already based in Freetown, with the Nigerian ecowas contingent at the airport, supported the initiative; but Ghanaians in the same force pulled back, stating they preferred a negotiated solution. Wire services reported that at least fifty people, mainly civilians, were killed in the bombardment, in addition to several hundred killed in initial fighting. Despite their superior firepower, the Nigerian forces were eventually forced to withdraw. The afrc claimed that 300 Nigerian troops had been taken hostage and later released.151

You all need to lecture yourself.

Nigerians Fire on Rebels Who Seized Sierra Leone
By HOWARD W. FRENCHJUNE 3, 1997

In their most perilous position, about 50 Nigerian soldiers were fighting a desperate battle against a vastly larger rebel force to defend one of the city's international hotels, the Mammy Yoko. United States Marines had used the hotel in recent days as a staging ground to evacuate more than 1,000 Americans and other foreigners from the country.

At least six Nigerian soldiers were killed or seriously wounded during fighting at the hotel, which has become a refuge for about 1,000 foreigners who were not able to leave the country, including West Africans, Lebanese and a handful of international journalists. Witnesses said the beachfront hotel had taken mortar fire and was burning.

''There is shooting everywhere,'' said a man who answered the telephone at the hotel. ''The Nigerians are trying their best, but if they don't get reinforcements soon, they will have to give up. If that happens, things will be very bad for us.''
The coup, on May 25, ended 14 months of democratic rule. Johnny Paul Koromah, a 33-year-old major who had been imprisoned for a previous coup attempt, took over as the country's new leader.

President Kabbah fled to Guinea, where he appealed to Nigeria and other regional powers to intervene on his behalf. As condemnations of the coup rose throughout West Africa and beyond, and the prospect of military intervention grew, the coup leaders invited the Revolutionary United Front to join their rebellion. More than 1,000 of the guerrillas, who are noted for atrocities, streamed into Freetown to join the coup.

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Deputy Minister of Mining, Strategic Industries, and State-Owned Enterprises Ministry Fajar Harry Sampurno said that Nigeria is exploring the procurement of PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) war ship.

"Nigeria is interested in bringing in a warship made by Pal Indonesia and the two sides have been in talks for the procurement," Harry said at the office of the Ministry of SOEs, Jakarta, Tuesday.

According to Harry, the type of warship to be built PAL still has not been determined whether the destroyer of the Missile (PKR) or Strategic Sealift Vessel (SSV).

"The realization of this procurement of warships will be tailored to the needs and budget of the country. The SSV's general specifications include 123.0 meters long, 21.8 meters wide, 5 meters water fiber, 7,200 tons weights, and 621 people carrying capacity. With the successful export of warships to the Philippines it invites investments in the form of similar warships from other countries.

If this is true then it must be the recent operation in The Gambia that led the navy to realize it was missing a very key capability, with 2 of these sea lift vessels NN could have played a much larger role to move personnel and equipment.

there was a proposal years back to de horn the rhinos and replace them with artificial horns .

there was massive protest back home from animal right activists (actually desi and foreign aholes like PETA BBC etc )

wonder weather it would have stopped the killing of rhinos

i suspect the role of some animal right activists and media , they r in payroll of international syndicates

of special interest is the way BBC ran a story demonizing Indian forest guards for shooting down rhino poachers, if they dont kill the poachers the rhinos will be wiped out.

later they were banned from all indian forest reserves, but those bleepers got some international tour operators to boycott indian game reserves.

later ministry of external affairs had to warn British government of impeding economic sanctions over it plus some other reasons , which later forced BBC to back off.

i just dont get whats the problem with these fuccking western governments and their media , who appointed them as the judge to interfere with others.

most of the high value contraband goods r smuggled out in diplomatic pouches / luggage , but that is another story.

UN peace keeping forces r also guilty of trade in endangered animal parts in africa ,

much to my shame our files contain the name of a Indian general , but unlike other nations atleast that particular general will never be considered for any promotion, appointments etc back home due to compromised character . the list of nationality involved is long , i know of senior officers from pak***** , french , bangladeshi ,african forces etc etc .

but unfortunately or fortunately such info is good enough for dangling the sword to sniff out some secrets and maybe payback karma for the poor animals who died.

Poachers still cut the base of the horn of Dr horned Rhinos in South African parks. maybe the fact that they will get less money will discourage them risking their lives.
