sorry @CanadianNurse, when CiC meant full academic fees for the year, do they mean the total 3 term fees for the academic year or the first term fees for schools that pay termly. waiting for your response. Thanks |

Hiccups: My brother don't doubt the line. That's the rule of the new MD and his team. NDDC has payed the complete 30k USD plus N500k take off fee to the first batch who travelled earlier. 2nd batch has just been payed N500k take off fee and about to be paid tuition and upkeep. They pay at once now, it's just the condition of travelling first before they can pay. |

jW16: Itz two semesters in a year ....if you are given two yrs....it means for the first yr Some schs break it down to paying acceptance fee den d rest follows For eg u are to pay 15k for a yr .d svh requests u pay 10k for conditions basis But full academic fees is the 15k u get? Full academic fee is mainly for the first yr Complete payment of fees for the first yr |

Ayoola03: Not really. Just that I will be sponsored for an msc program for one year with the sum of 30k USD. Moreover, UWO pays termly and does not generate invoice for the whole year. I even doubt the possibility of having a fall term invoice generated for me in the middle of summer term. I will write my school by 8am their time and hear what they have to say about this. Hope preparation is going smoothly Ayoola03? |

Morning House, Please I need your suggestions, I was denied trv this week after gaining admission to Lambton college. Reasons were Purpose of Visit and Travel history. I was advised to opt for an M.SC on reapplication since I had a 2:1 with my B.SC degree to better treat the purpose of visit issue....so, 1. I need suggestions on schools/ Universities I can apply to for the Winter intake (preferably ones that waive Toefl for Nigerians) which our naira land brothers have highly recently gotten admitted to. 2. How do I treat the Travel history issue? I was advised to get a US/UK visa and travel once or twice first to fix this (because I've never been out of Nigeria ) but this doesn't seem really fesible for me tbh. 3. Do I need to get school (past professors) references for all schools to get the M.SC course? If not, please suggest Uni's where work references are accepted cos I would rather not go back to kiss my Past professors' butts. Lol Thank you very much guys. God bless. |

Hello guys, If you have a family in Canada, would he be contacted my CIC. For instance I have a cousin who is studying in Brock University and I didn't even tell him I was applying for study in Canada. I actually filled in his details for the part that was asked. |

PureRuby:since it's scholarship u don't need to pay any money into ur account, all cic needs now is a reassurance letter from ur sponsors and u will be fine. Ur trv has been approved bro, just get the reassurance letter from ur sponsors and u will get ur trv 1 Like |

PureRuby:bro if u can't get money elsewhere to pay ur tuition urself while u repay the person when NDDC pays u then I will still advise u get an asurance letter from NDDC stating clearly that their new rule will only allow them to pay ur tuition fee when u arrive Canada. NB @ALL what happens in a situation when some schools don't accept tuition fee until one's trv has been approved? in that case a letter from the school stating clearly that they won't accept tuition until approval of trv and cic will accept it that way. NDDC is well recognized by cic and for the application to have gone this far it means cic recognize NDDC. That's my little take on this 1 Like |

@pureRuby, Just as most people have adviced, see how you can get funds and proceed as instructed by the embassy. Since you were asked to pay your fees and give the assurance for living expenses., do exactly that. Like one moniker mentioned, they know about most government funded scholarship and it's inadequacies. Find a way to transfer your tuition to your student account. Find out from your school if they contracted western union global solution or other third parties for international transfer or get the school's account to transfer your first year tuition. Some schools allow international transfers to students' account and deduct tuition and other fees from there at the beginning of each academic sesssion. All the embassy wants is that funds are domiciled in canada .Anything other than this may not be good. Your application approval is imminent and it's in your hands. All the best. 4 Likes |

Austinpee4:bro what if she doesn't have any other means of raising the money to pay while she waits for nddc to pay? I feel if she can't get that she should just ask nddc for another letter reassuring cic that they will make the payment as soon as he gets she gets her trv. I also want to use the case of schools that doesn't accept tuition fee until trv has been approved, cic understands that as long as the school writes a letter to that effect and also the applicant can get a letter of assurance from his/her bank (sponsor ) that the funds will be transported as soon as the applicant gets his/her trv. NB: From the little I know I think she doesn't have any other way to raise the tuition fee. 2 Likes |
