The official result showed the PDP candidate winning by large margin in the two local councils in his Ede home town, while only losing in Ejigbo LG, the base of his opponent, Hussain.

If APC is not careful, 2019 general elections would be a repeat of this. You don't expect people to vote for you after blowing up the votes they gave you before. APC are going down faster than the speed of light.

And those who collected 1k to sell their future to PDP

It's all good, you'll remember this day

. ******************edit

..
Why people are sentimental has always and will always baffle me

You said this is a revolt , however this is not a real revolt, it is PDP playing on emotions of the people

The Adeleke's family

Father was politician / governor

Isiaka was governor / senate

Now demola too?

Reality is I agree with aregbe, it's not only thier family in Osun State and senate is not family title, it cannot be automatically inherited

Yes isaka was a good man, liked by most people including myself, however his death was used as propaganda against APC ,

no female leader died in ikire(after eating Adeleke's left overs) as claimed by PDP tools

The APC woman mobbed in Adeleke's house as a matter of fact ate with adeleke and she did not die

Adeleke was not poisoned as claimed by PDP

And as said earlier, senate is not a family right

I don't expect you or anyone else to agree with me, I'm stating the facts as clearly as possible

People voted for isiaka Adeleke's personality, not for Demola, however, people were blinded by hate to realize they fell in PDP's trap , it's as simple as tha

This is the beginning of the down fall of APC in southwest Nigeria. This was how it started in 2003 during AD days, when the arrogance of the then Governor of Osun state, Mr Bisi Akande, played an important role in ruinous experience of the then Alliance for Democracy (AD).
2019 general election will put forth a lot of surprises.

People voted for the personality of Late Isiaka Adeleke and the role played by Osun State Government in managing the crisis after his death.

I would have loved APC fielded Ademola for the rerun. Political miscalculation, I knew it would happen this way and PDP used the window and keyed into that advantage.

If Labour party has done same, the result would have been better than this.

This is a sympathetic votes and not votes for PDP, never again will PDP rule Nigeria again.

Aregbesola has lost Apc in osun state because he seems to himself as all wise, all powerful and all best. The man lost apc because he lost history of how Bisi Akande lost to Oyinlola in 2003 when the former pinched his tent against the state workers. While history is there for our leaders to learn from ; our leaders are sometimes lazy to the extent that they only copy the past history. And so it continues on and one and we sometimes wonder why we always remaing at thesame spot as a nation? Know that you can't be doing same thing in thesame way over and over again and expect a different result.

Good

Shame to aregbesola. The tout.
You needed to hear him insult Adeleke in Ede. He called him an insane creature! He said "we were the ones that gave him money!".

It was really unprofessional of him. I knew Adeleke had the seat already, if nothing else, for sympathy sake.

While the elites are united in their struggle to continuously enrich themselves at the expense of the masses, the masses have foolishly divided itself into APC and PDP blocks instead of uniting to fight the common enemy, the united elite political class. Welcome to the zoo republic

It is not about APC or PDP.

People had grudge to settle with Emperor Aregbe ,who has been deceiving people with his propaganda. The chicken only came home to roost for him. He believed he is popular with riff raffs and people that can not distinguish between left from right, He underestimated the influence and voting power of the Civil Servants.

Even some of their party members sabotaged the election for PDP. Apart from that, they were heady and stubborn enough to pick the APC candidate from a LG that has a sitting Speaker of House of Assembly and a Rep at HOR, at the expense of other LGs, which are by no mean small LGs -- Iwo, Ede, Ikire etc.
