abegee. God wants the approval to be a grand approval. QED!!!!!!

They may also be investigating a paperwork that they suspect. Try and send them an email inquiring, just to make sure you have not also been lost in the cracks of the rock. Normal applications don't take this long. When are you suppose to resume?

I have done that also and its the same

Due to significant and unforeseen increases in the volume of temporary resident applications we receive (temporary resident visas, study permits, and work permits), we are currently outside regular processing times. We continue to process applications as quickly as possible in the order they were received.

I will keep sending two emails per week if I was in your shoes. Sounds they are generically just responding to you without checking. Alert them your application has been pending since January and unusual to take that long. When are you suppose to resume?

Hi Everyone,
So Cic updated me that Medical Exam passed.

So what's the next step.

We are all praying for Approval oh.

Abeg tell me if someone has been denied after medical this 2017.

Tension is officially building up.
In the case of upfront medical it is possible for someone to passed his/her medical and still be denied while if an applicant is asked to go for medical and he/she passed it there's a 99.9% of the person getting it approve. We pray for approval at this stage, God will see us through and perfect every imperfection in our application

I mean picture yourself as my V.O and i present my case to u that in married with the obligation to return and resume my marital duties after studies. Does it sound like it can be considered?
Yes marriage is a good home tie but u will have to show proof of it (like marriage certificate)

Oh okay. So every application with upfront medicals gets passed right? So you can't be denied without passing the m edicals. Or am I wrong?

Not all upfrint medicals are passed. I said if cic request or send u a medical mail(that means not upfront medical) and u pass the medical there's almost 100% certainty that u will get approved

pls bros, i have some questions. a) what does cic mean by review of background checks (b) and eligibility check? what exactly are they checking for?
a) Review of background check means they are matching the information you provided with their records, if you previously commited a crime, refused a visa, ordered to leave a country, checking for any misrepresentation and if you are a threat to their security or on a wanted watchlist.

b) Review of eligibility means that they are checking if you ACTUALLY qualify for a study permit and if your application meet the requirements of the IRCC act.

The check for security, misrepresentation, health and everything that will ensure that you will not be of danger to canadians should your study permit be approved.

Most times, it is eligibility that some students fail to meet because their applications and condition does not meet the requirements of the IRCC act( sufficient funds, right courses, insufficient hometies, failure to convince an officer that primary intention is to study and that he/she will return after study) na here wey wahala dey most times! Other checks are just standard procedure for CIC.

LONG POST ALERT!
I will start by saying a big “THANK YOU”, to MichV & Thesoj, they guided me through my visa SOP review. I wish I can pay for your time, your support will never be forgotten.
@ MichV, there are no words eloquent enough to thank you, but I simply say “THANK YOU”. I very much miss you on this forum. You have been there all through to check on my progress. Your words of encouragement were great.
@ thesoj, after you reviewed my SOP, I knew my draft SOP was a child’s play. Plenty thanks for constructive feedback you gave. Very Much Valued and It made a difference.
@ justwise, the administrator of this forum, God bless you for creating this platform. To others in this forum that contributed in one way or the other to my success, God sees your labour of love and HE is rewarding you.
To the Gurus in the house, just too numerous to mention that took out time out of very busy schedule, thanks for your selfless efforts. God bless you real good.
I read every page from Canadian student visa thread part 1- 11 and joined part 12 after my application.
My ten kobo advice for all that are yet to submit their application, please do read the past threads, you can do an application yourself while God crowns all efforts you have made. No two applications are similar but you will see scenarios that fit your person. Read the info on the CIC webpage, Google and read the past threads, you should be 90% ready to give in a tight application while the “GURUS” will clarify grey areas.
Personally, I do not like to respond when I see questions that have been answered over and over on this thread. On a lighter note, Most Nigerians don’t just like to look up for information but prefer to be spoon fed.

As it’s the tradition here, I will share my profile, timelines and documents submitted for my offline application:
