Thing is, he doesn't eat small quantities at home, he eats very well. But over 400mls in 3 hours is impossible for even Mrs mighty igor's baby

I understand. You know creches dont understand LO's like their moms. some think all crying or fusssing require feeding instead of cuddling
. Perhaps they are feeding too soon and discarding remnant. If you are uncomfortable change creche. My point was coming from the view that if your concern is food management; it can be controlled by stating "feed my child with 180 mls every 3 hours" Trust me, your situation is better than some. My niece was being given sleeping drugs till she became unconcious so as i said it can be managed

Seriously, this issue of a creche made me come out. I went to check my DD at creche today and unfortunately she vomited twice, first time was when i was about carrying her, she vomited her banana puree, the second time i wanted to feed her breast milk, i noticed she dint want to suck; thank God i didn't put nipple in her mouth, she just vomited "Big time" the second time the sweet potato puree i told them to give her. From just two days i started creche with my baby, i noticed her tummy is always full, its like they love packing food for their Tommy.

This morning, her teacher was telling me i should be putting more food for her after i put Banana puree for fruit, sweet potato mixed with crayfish and 12 ounce breast milk with formula oooo. She said i may be adding Tom Brown and i was like (Seriously for a six month baby?) She doesn't eat much like that now. I have never seen my baby vomiting so much like these. Am so worried? @enque, feddy27.

Sooooo mamas let me share my experience this week !

Dd has been having a bit of congestion and we suspected that she may have a sore throat as well. It was generally ok during the day, however at night there were a few wheezing moments.

So i tuesday, i stayed home to watch her as she was really not her usual self. I noticed she was breathing very loudly and seemed to be using a lot of energy taking in deep breaths. Plus her cough just sounded nasty! ( note: this is after all the steam inhalation, olbas, eucalyptus combo for 3 days oh)

So i took her to the local doctor.... that was where i was told, we need to call you an ambulance. If she appears to have breathing difficulty, it needs to be treated as an emergency!

Eh hen! Ok oh. Before i could say "aturupoyoyo" Out came the nebuliser with steriods being administered and we even got the full siren treatment to the larger hospital. I have never been attended to so quickly in my life..lol!

Long story short she had Croup! Which is a a result of a viral cough, but it causes the airways to be inflamed and swell up resteicting the flow of air. Symptoms are difficulty breathing and "barking" cough - which basically sounds like a high pitched bark. She had to have an oral steriod administered to reduce the swelling and low and behold the child that was doing wan-kind before was now running amok and scattering the whole hospital.

It apparently usually affects children between 6mo - 5 yrs and ranges in seriousness from mild to moderate and severe. older children and adults may have it but it hardly developes into severe cases. And it happens mostly or starts at night.

Just thought to share in case it may help anyone.

DD is doing good now.

Good morning mamas.

I don't mean to scare you but you need to take him to a hospital that will take it serious. They need to let you know the extent. My husband had a slight case and it still disturbs him till now. But it can be potentially life threatening at a baby's age.

infact when my MIL sees the gangsta mama moves i do with my dd, she says she didn't think i would have been so strict as per first baby and things.

But when it is only me and my guardian angel, plus all the house chores, plus work.... i cannot come and die biko.

we did sharp sharp weaning at 10 month.. when dd was already using my n.pple to do chewing gum at 2 months! by the time teeth came in at 6 months it turned to practice run for shaki / ponmo chewing and she got 2 teeth every month from 6 months , so by 10 months we already had 10 teeth..... shocked

Although i had initially wanted to Breastfeed till 12 month looking back now i am soooooooooooooooooooo glad i weaned early! besides who Breastfeeding for that long hep?!

my MIL sef was like i tried, her own was "you have done 6 months abeg pack your br.east and get formular!" Supergangsta-Grandma...lol

Lol

I am persisting o
That's why whenever I have someone at home, I make myself scarce and let them feed him instead.
I'm just giving him small time. Very soon I will go gangsta on him. He won't know what hit him. Lol.

Good evening Mothers and Fathers in the house.
I want to know if Golden Morn is healthy for a one year old baby? We just introduced the cereal to my one year old boy and he seems to like it, we sought this alternative when he would cry and draw rain when been fed either pap or his regular milk:Cerelac(Mixed fruits) and Lactogen, however he loves eating Golden Morn, he eats other adult solids as well. But lately someone said it is not healthy for a baby that young. Is it right for him at this tender age?
What other food(s) can we introduce to him that would help his growth and increase his intelligence. Thanks y'all.
my sil son takes golden morn so well and he's just 10months old he started since 6months and that's her 4th baby. Guess u can g on with it exept ur baby is reacting to it apart frm dat u are good to go

This is a weird question but I really need answers. Please those with baby girls, how do you guys clean her vagina. MIL baths my baby 95% of the time and she totally ignores the insides of the vagina while bathing (that's ever since I banned shaping) grin So I usually try to clean out the insides with a wet towel, hubby thinks I might be hurting her by doing that (cuz I like to leave it looking spotless). So please I need to know how others are doing it. MIL would be leaving this month so I'd be taking over the bathing anyway. Do you pour water inside and wash like when you bath yourself (but it's so tiny) grin

Cc: Zaynie, Alphahandmaiden, Yesitsme, anyone else with a baby girl. Meanwhile nicoleswizzi I haven't seen you here in a while, hope you're good,

I wash the insides and gently use my index finger to wipe/swipe.Then sometimes I clean afterwards with wipes.

@ Suzy: be patient, it is not easy to be a mom of a picky eater. I have 2 picky eaters, but i'll suggest you keep trying till you get what your LO enjoys. First deworm him/her, then try Farley's Heinz premium rice cereal. Start with little quantities and see, a lot of picky eaters like it. its about 1200- 1900, depends on where you live.

my sister abeg nor dey use wipes because of the ash chemicals that appears mild. They are actually made of rubbing alcohol, essential oils, baby oil, soap and water. And the gynaecologist warns against the use of any thing other than water for the vigina either adult or babies. It is better u deep cotton wool into warm water and clean.

Pele
Try steam inhalation with eucalyptus oil aka silverbird. Or put few drops of silverbird on her bib or in her cot so she can inhale it
keep her warm too
Vitamin c will also help her
Saline drops will decongest her nose

Read about your struggle with feeding her solids
Try giving your dh to feed her
Today my ds finished a whole bowl of cereal and cried for more! Guess who feed him? My dh.
