All these fraudulent people should please stop. Na una dey delay the Nigerian Canadian Visa Approval process. Please, I dey beg ooo. I don wait like 7 weeks now!

Exactly!!! Why go through the stress of applying, documenting and travelling when you know you cannot afford to pay their tuition? Atleast the first semester tuition for a start?

Abeg let's stop giving these VOs unnecessary applications to waste their time from attending to the genuine ones.

Check out Processing time for Nigeria now: 16Weeks!!!

Its my 12th week today.... Still nothing...

Let's say no to fake documents please.

Boss,

Have you applied?

I think if you atleast have the key items according to online application, it is best you apply now. Should they need any other documentation you will be contacted.

The time is limited except if your school allows a grace period for registration or deferement together with funding.

Just saying...

I have actually looked out for his post where he'd type '' When I submitted my application " and not " When I submit ".

I guess the school has given him a grace period... I just pray he doesn't miss out on that funding.

Don't understand this.
You have an admission letter from school right?

sending original Transcipt to embassy is unnecessary because you have secured admission. They are VO not addmissions officers oh

Add a copy of your certificate to tor application to the embassy and that school be ok.

My 2 cents

My thoughts exactly

@All

..for those of you who came here to seek info about account boasting and those who provided possible answers need to take a long break from this thread.

We Nigerians need to learn how to do things the right way.

Think about your actions and it consequences to other Nigerians while serving the ban.

Please no mercy. No one is happy that we have to wait 16 weeks for visa, ordinary Somalia doesn't take that long. No to account "boasting" or "boosting".

Why are you worried about their ban and not the damage their actions have caused to our image as Nigerians?

I Tire!!!

Please lets move onto better things.

I always look forward to when people come back here to give us their verdict, experiences and things to do and not do when you get there. Unfortunately, we haven't had much of that recently. just repeated questions over and over again. i believe if most people on this thread started from 9 (like a number of us did - some even started from 7 and prior threads) we would probably have still been on page 200 grin grin

Please lets Newbies just start from even 11....and questions such as what is TRV, or what schools can i go to won't be seen as often anymore.

What is the essence of account "boasting" when you very well know you wudnt be able to afford tuition and keep up with your first year living expenses... It's better actually to stop thinking of thousands-dollar jobs upon resumption to Canada as primary priority and try to secure first year expenses atleast ....

Exactly.... For those thinking the can pay tuition with Canadian jobs while studying.... Pls think again.

Bring out your calculator let's do small mathematics.

Assuming your tuition is C$18,000 for your two years program, your rent is C$1,200monthly and your salary is C$10.68/hr which as a student, you can legally work for 20hours a week, how do you expect to foot your bills?

Let's be wise abeg.

And for those asking already answered questions, take a deep breath and start from Page 1 of Part 12 if you cannot start from an earlier part (which is highly advisable). You will see questions similar to yours being answered.

I wish us all the best.

1. Most schools in Canada don't require TOFEL/GRE
2. Your course of study/CGPA/Finance available are factors to consider.
3. Some provinces/ cities are know for different sectors, Like Alberta is good if u are into the oil sector, but I think you can migrate later if u wish.
Thanks

Hello Bosses,

At the risk of derailing the thread( I am sorry about that, though this might compliment the thread.)

Just a little heads up about funding.

For Bachelors degree applicant/students, please ensure you ask your programme officer/department/award office, there is always this award you qualify for but you may not know unless you ask. Also, seek external funding; most of these scholarships are advertised on your school's "Tuition and funding" pages. Please make use of that information, you might also qualify for them too.

2) For Masters degree students. as in 1) above, please ask too. There is at least one funding you qualify for. It is possible you might not get in your first year, but with good grades, you qualify for some funding/scholarship (atleast tuition). Please be on the look and ask. For those going for research based or thesis based, most schools usually have funding, if you cannot find it on their website, ask your supervisor (who in most cases is your primary contact), the admission office, the graduate coordinator or anyone in charge of students. Your supervisor might not have funding at the moment, but the school might have a form of scholarship. Please ask!

3) For PhD students. More often than not PhD students are usually funded via their research units or labs. However, there are other forms of funding you might qualify for. Also ask. Too much funding wont kill (LOL). If you research unit is not funding, I am sure you qualify for some departmental funding in terms of TAs, but you never know unless you ask. I think there is this rule that PhDs are always funded no matter how small it is (I am not sure though). However, ask still.

4) Most schools have international admission scholarships. These are awarded to student who meet a certain score during admission. Please endeavour to ask what you admission score is, if your school offer such. They will tell you, atleast with that you will know if you meet the scholarship threshold or not. As an example, a friend had no idea, that uottawa offer such until I told her to ask. She did and was told her score but unfortunately her score didnt meet the threshold.

Finally, If you didnt get any kind funding from school, please ensure you atleast have funds that will keep you going for a year (I mean for fees, accommodation and upkeep). The first years are usually tough, but we will always scale through in the end.

For the bosses still awaiting the approval of their TRVS, I wish you Godspeed, God's grace and favours.

For those coming to ottawa @Austinepee, @tuzinde @cnwag, we will surely meet there this year.

@osemigho, @judebebo, @wealth360 and co going to other cities, make una ready to host us.

It shall end in praises for us all.

Peace...
