You guys claimed to once be an empire but you currently only occupy one small state that is a little bit bigger than Ibadan. Where did the empire go? Or were you guys divided like a cake?

You also always claim Yoruba was under your empire before. Let's do the math pls. How come Yoruba has 6 and a half states and you guys can only boast of one?

It had controlled vast stretches of land up to benin republic and up to cameroon . in the 15th century, it fought to protect its northern borders against the fulanis (bringing this up so u can determine how far into the north its borders were) . around the 12th to 15th century the benin people moved its capital to its fortress city(benin). Unlike the other kings who bear oba, the benin had a system similar to the imperial roman empire with its system of several city states who pay allegiance and loyalty to one king the oba. I will educate you; just type in how long is the great wall of china and that of benin. Funny thing is, i don't need to google it because it is general knowledge that the wall of china is the longest man made construct ever.
