Stanley08: PlayStation network works but it goes off sometimes and you have to restart your modem (sometimes more than once). I suppose it has something to do with IP address changes. |

ntelassist: I actually believe Ntel is blocking that device and perhaps you are just a customer service agent and not privy to such tecnical information or above your pay grade And I won't be buying any other mifi from you guys since obviously, the problem is from ntel and not my device or the others who have complained repeatedly about the block. And when my subscription expires, I will not be re-subscribing obviously because my current subscription is an entire waste |

Typical ntel. Their customer service agents are virtually clueless. I always insist on speaking with a supervisor when I call. hodonuu: |

Na wa to some people, Unlocking a modem is at owners risk anything could go wrong. How does that concern NTel, if an unlocked modem from another provider work or not, Simply contact who sold the modem to you. Thats why Ntel has its own Modem, they can assist if anything goes wrong. 3 Likes |

ntelassist: Nothing like abuse. Unlimited is Unlimited. I will get angry if i pay for unlimited and can't download 500GB in one day. I won't get angry if i pay for 50GB and it stops working after i download 50GB. Get my drift? You guys should reaccess how much your network can handle and come up with the plans. I was managing the network as it was then the price went up to 12K5 and my network became worse. I mean. It was a no brainer. After 2 months of using Spectranet, i say okay. Let me test this Ntel again. I recharge ₦3,750 and activate. For one whole hour! I couldn't do anything. Network was terrible! I took it out and never looked back. The only thing that will make me use ntel again is if Spectranet closes down. Or there is some OBVIOUS advantage, which there isn't right now. That said. 08041881901. Load me up for 2 days with ur money to convince me. Because i know for a FACT they I'm not going to waste my own money on Ntel. And i advice you all to look for alternatives too. 2 Likes |

hodonuu: I think you've totally misunderstood 4llerbuntu, LOL. He's always maintained his own E5372 has never been blocked (same here, BTW.) He was just reiterating his earlier posts/point that his has never come up blocked. All he's been saying as well, is that he's been suffering from a terrible snail speed performance on ntel in his crib, and that the situation has not abated. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |

...Nothing like abuse. Unlimited is Unlimited. I will get angry if i pay for unlimited and can't download 500GB in one day. Stanley08; Is your current plan on Spectranet - from which you displayed that ~5MB/s screen shot - truly unlimited? Whether or not it is, which plan, and what time of day, was it? Any appreciable deviation from that speed during the other half of the day? (I think your response will influence my own next set of data plans.) ........ P34c3 ..... ... |

Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by hodonuu: 11:37pm On Jul 17, 2017 |
duwdu: Yeah and I just checked the picture and an older pic he uploaded and realised his device doesnt use the customised Spectranet firmware that came with the device Original software version for Spectranet e5372: Spectranet : 21.236.03.00.1158 His own version is : 21.236.03.00.414 And yours isnt Spectranet huawei e5372mifi but swift Huawei e5372 mifi right? And that is the main issue here Seems the problem everyone is experiencing has to do with Ntel blocking access to Huawei e5372 with firmware version : 21.236.03.00.1158 That is the customised Spectranet firmware that came with the device |
Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by hodonuu: 11:40pm On Jul 17, 2017 |
Heshei: Such words are inaccurate You don't have nor use Spectranet Huawei e5372, yet you say "sure not blocked from ntel" Isn't yours swift Huawei e5372? No one is saying all e5372 isnt working The only complains here ,are specifically saying Spectranet branded Huawei e5372, nothing else Seems the problem everyone is experiencing has to do with Ntel blocking access to Huawei e5372 with firmware version : 21.236.03.00.1158 That is the customised Spectranet firmware that came with the device and since yours is swift, it definitely didn't come with that firmware version |

Hmnnnnn. It is well, for the spirit of discernment is profitable. Verily it is said, there is no blocking Mr hodonuu. But there is firmware bug, saith the angelica of ntelaria. Once upon a time, in the land of ntelaria, city of Xiaomi, there was a fair mobile phone that refused to connect on stock ROM despite having all bands, and the people raged and cursed against the telco and servants of God Alas, when the fairmobile drank of the lollipop potion, it received life, but a bite of Marshmallow brought it severe affliction, like the plagues of Egypt. So it was, that it suffered until revelation sheweth to the son of man that when the fairmobile partook of a sip of cyanogenmod, it received healing Tis was like a miracle of Abrahamic proportions. And there was singing and rejoicing in the land Such fate was the case of another hebrewfi . It was afflicted with a bug whereat it doth suffer weird issue. It is recorded that this affliction reached into the land of yellow hibiscus and unto the end of the earth. One messenger declared tis apn issue and another prophet also declared incomplete deliverance of this hebrewfi, but both were cursed, spat on, stripped, set upon with stones and sticks and crucified. Thus it was, that affliction continued upon the land, for even those who crucified the son of man doth not have a solution to the affliction. But decreed death be to any doctor who doth attempted to proffer solution, such as it was during the days of Pharaoh Xerxes. But a whisper floated into the land from the land of the dead, for he that is dead may not die and for a messenger hath no name. Tis whispered that if only the hebrewfi with the issue of blood would touch the hem of a new dash/ware and redemption cometh. but the son of man was sent to the sheep and not the ravening wolves. He who hath ears, let him hear what the spirit saith to the church of ntelaria 7 Likes |

Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by hodonuu: 10:16am On Jul 18, 2017 |
olurotimi1: As long as your Spectranet Huawei e5372 still has the customized Spectranet firmware version : 21.236.03.00.1158, it won't connect to Ntel I only figured out the solution after comparing a firmware versions of someone else, so changing the firmware will solve it. Obviously it wasn't Spectranet that blocked it like @ntelassist wrongly said, because the firmware still works with other competing Networks like MTN, Etisalat, smile and swift It wasn't about adding or deleting a APN profile like Mr 4llerbunuru wrongly assumed And not ntel blocking like fotyy and me and others wrongly assumed but more of the original Spectranet firmware bug ( that firmware now seems incompatible to just ntel) Nor was the device improperly unlocked like someone said to help each other , when people have a real problem like this and someone proffers a solution which doesn't work and is told it doesn't work, his ego shouldn't be hurt by insisting that is the solution with words like "you are funny oh, you are still talking about this when I have showed you what to do"? That is like you saying he is stupid and insisting on your solution and preventing others to try to offer other solutions , especially when you didn't experience the same exact problem and solved it with your own offered solution cc @4llerbuntu ( even though you deleted those comments later on) Also I realised is that those that never had the problem seemed to think they know the problem and dismissive of the problem like "go buy a new modem, your device is faulty, " sell that crap" your modem wasn't unlocked properly, "just get our new Ntel mifi" cc@ ntelassist et And finally those that really experienced the problem and were pissed that an offered solution that didn't work when they tried it was still being put as the only solution or having their complaints dismissed even when they all said other Networks work and were adamant that it was Ntel blocking the device! Even when being told it makes absolutely no business sense for Ntel to block the mifi cc @hodonuu @fotyy etc with everyone filled with egos, it all became an unnecessary fight where everyone wanted to be seen as the one with the upper hand with shades, insults, ( direct or indirect) subliminal and childish acts of thrill of who has the last words And while some people may say they are not obligated to offer any solutions or didn't force anyone to use their solution, they should also remember that no one is obligated not to state that the offered solution didn't solve the problem either. We all learn daily and can't be right all the time Just see how looking at a screenshot and looking at my own firmware version made me figure exactly what the problem was and this would have been discovered earlier if everyone was mature about it 2 Likes |

Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by 4llerbuntu(m): 11:27am On Jul 18, 2017 |
hodonuu: you see the problem is when you are quicker to yarn than discern. and i don't mean this in a confrontational manner. For some reason you all felt it was important for me to be right. Which is mad weird because there's no gain in my being right or wrong. Please refer to my posts on previous pages. 1. With my experience in relating with people with differing skill levels I've learnt that you don't suggest a difficult solution before the simple ones. 2. in all honesty i did not immediately avert my mind to the firmware as a primary issue. this is because i assumed anyone who unlocked the mifi also changed the firmware as a matter of course. As you didn't, the other person who said your unlock process was poorly done was right. 3. ironically i actually did mention changing the firmware. the posts are there for reference. I didn't stress it because naturally i know not many people would be comfortable with flashing a mifi. if i suggested 3 solutions and you tried one that didn't work its expected that you maybe try the other two. its a choice 4. For the record, the bug is actually related to the APN. no matter what you set as the APN it doesn't actually change from the Spectranet APN. if you ran a trace on your Mifi you would see it still tries to call that spectranet APN. other networks aren't as finicky about APN like Ntel network is. About a week ago i tested etisalat and glo sim cards in my ntel router, i didnt even set any APN before they worked. 5. Funny thing is flashing the Mifi does not remove the bug still. it just makes it such that you can now switch the APN when it defaults to the Spectranet one. You will still need to do this occasionally, especially if you are fond of switching the sim out of the Mifi. 6. The very first response to my suggestion was unbelievably antagonizing. I immediately apologized for commenting but i kept being attacked. Did you seriously expect me to be bothered about saying more? Can you explain to me exactly why my suggestion of a solution even if wrong warranted so many insults? 7. I deliberately posted the screenshot of my device info page. my imei etc was exposed. I'm savvy enough to know that is wrong but i did it. also asked other people to post theirs on the chance someone would eventually figure it out. which you did Finally, please do not insinuate that i post things here for validation or approval, or that i will engage in a pissing contest with random strangers on-line. With all due respect, we don't know each other but i joined nairaland when it was 3 months old thereabouts and i was not a teenager then sef. that should give some indication about certain info about me. I've had more than one account as people like OYB will tell you. Its not about being right or wrong. Its about helping each other. But the events here in the past week was a learning experience about how-to and how not to do that. Ultimately, i'm happy you fixed your issue. It is unimportant to me whether i contributed to a solution or not. It doesn't add one kobo to my account, nor are there any perks to such a thing on nairaland So enjoy your mifi and refrain from posting snarky comments about people who only tried to help 4 Likes |
