Hello,

I surmise you do not mean visa but residence permit (rp) application fee, as I want to believe your application is based on study ground. For any visit to Finland in which your length of stay will exceed 3 months, you'll apply for rp, not visa.. So, if I am right about what I suppose you mean, then, residence permit application fee is N95,500. You should check their official website for more FAQ and other relevant information, as that's where you'll get firsthand, most (current, valid and reliable) information. http://www.finlandnigeria.org/public/default.aspx?nodeid=48016&contentlan=2&culture=en-US . Should you perhaps refer to application type other than the one I feel you mean, then, the appropriate fee to whatever residence permit or visa application type you want to pay for will be found on that site, as well. I hope this helps.

BR

pls I want to know more about the opportunities of studying in Finland. ...

Hello everyone! this is my first post on Nairaland, and I have a number of inquries to make, with regards to my imminent immigration to Finland. I'm going on a one year Resident permit, as I'm married to a Finnish girl. Firstly, can I travel with cigarettes (Benson switch, about 5packs, my inlaws requested for this as they smoked it here during their visits), food stuffs including: Beans, egusi, ogbono, and not raise any eyebrows at the airport? Secondly, as a first time traveler going with Turkish Airlines, how many hours is the layover at Istanbul? Being a rookie, how can I easily navigate through my connecting flight to Helsinki? Thirdly, as an athlete from Nigeria, (I'm good in 100 and 200m categories), how can I proceed with my career in this new environment? what are the welfare facilities for athletes? how can I get into competitions there? I'm heading to Tampere specifically and will live with my wife....Finally, I have been learning some finnish language on my own here in Nigeria, but I obviously have to go to the language school there, how can I get into one there? Is it true that one is paid for learning it?

My questions are bulky, hopefully the experienced people in the house, and currently in Finland will do justice to these probing questions....Kiitos Paljon!

You can travel with cigarettes and foodstuffs but don't carry any liquid like palm oil and Co. As per ur layover it should be stated in your flight ticket, usually 5hrs but Turkish airport is well organized u should b able to locate d terminal to board the flight to Helsinki. As for info regarding career it's best you ask a Fin to do justice. Best of luck.

most countries I know of will only allow a roll of cigarette per passenger for free at the port of entry, otherwise you have to pay import duty on every roll asides your one permitted. as for food, watch out for diaries, meat and poultry. every country has their maximum allowed per passenger in kg, and ensure you declare all if asked. if you don't declare, if caught, you will be fined and may have your foodstuffs confiscated..

go to Turkish airlines and search for a flight ticket for your departure date. it should come up with your flight itenary which includes flight duration, layover time etc.

hey, please I got a confusing situation I need clearance with and I hope you can help. In the interview confirmation email, one of the instructions is to submit my original passport by courier 2 weeks ahead. later in the guide, they say I must provide my original passport at the entry point of the embassy on the day of the interview. how am I supposed to submit my passport two weeks ahead and still be able to show it for entry on the day of the interview?

I actually did submit my intl passport exactly 2 weeks prior to my interview. This is what I'll advise you do too. If you have submited, they know there is no way you will have another passport to show as a means of identification. Hence, there is a provision. This is why you must print out the appointment email the embassy might have sent to you and present it at the entrance.

Apparently, that is the only point such print-out appointment email will be used. On that email are necessary information needed to identify you. At the entrance, the security will request for it. Your name and that of other applicants scheduled for that date would have been submitted to these security. All they will do is cross-check to see if the name they have at the embassy and the one on your appointment email correspond.

Sorry my reply came a little bit late. A lot is going on for me this time, as I will be defending my thesis next week.

Hello all. I have been following this thread since my part one days say 2014 or thereabout. I am done now.

I don't even know where to start from but I think the most important is to know if studying in Finland for foreigners is still tuition free and when is the next application period.

I'm yet to serve though and I finished with a 2.2 (3.4) precisely. I'd appreciate any response that will lead me to get started once more.

Thank you all in anticipation.

Hello all, Please can anyone help to answer this questions to guide me.

As an HND holder do I have a chance of getting admission for Masters or an undergraduate course in a tuition free University or a school that offers scholarship in Finland. If yes kindly suggest such schools

If its NO for Finland kindly suggest any other European countries that offers Tuition free/scholarship program to HND holders or a top up course before Masters program.

Please help a sister.

Hello, i just received my application today and guess what, the decision was made on a draft application of last year's submission mistakenly submitted around February this year. all efforts to correct this error proved futile so I continued to make this year's application and I alerted the authorities at the embassy and sought their consent upon which a diary number was created for this new app. only for me to receive a decision on the stale app.

any ideas how to go about this? thanks

Good morning Honorable colleagues and guru's in this thread, I'm a newbie and I've been searching where to get reliable information about the finish Visiting visa, and I'm hopefully to have arrived to the last bus stop.
please I have some important questions to table before this honorable forum for advice and assistance.

I have a friend who is a finish, we've been talking for some time now though we've not been able to meet one on one, but this time around he is ready to send me an invitation for a visit, and agreed to state clearly that he will take care of me during my period of visit.

My Question goes thus,
I don't have a fat statement of account with up to 2million deposit in it(I don't even have a dime in that account as someone into business). since the invitee will declare on the invitation to take care of me, must I need a huge account statement of mine?

secondly.I met this agent who I got his contact online (but I've not seen him one on one), he said I must have to provide huge account statement of up to 2million or he can help me package everything and I will pay him 250k. can I trust the agent's sincerity or is there any other way I can go out this myself?

please I really need a swift response from anyone who has a clue about this and can advice me on what to do. I will be very grateful. please help a brother. thank You all in advance.
