princeadedayo: This well written SOP thing is becoming something else. Please let's all get it right from course selection and stop believing that a WOLE SOYINKA sop would work magic This has nothing to do with HR or what not. Let her order her gcms and restrategise. Cheers |

princeadedayo: Nawa for you sha. I studied Business Management (which offered Human resources as an In-course). Now I want to further in same Business Administration & mgt majoring in Human resources as other options were Marketing, Finance and Accounting. So what did you think went wrong? How is it different from my previous background? Do you think someone would just major in medicine without choosing either Surgery or Radiology? I explained my reason for a PGD and why HRM in my SOP. Abeg I fit beat you now ooooo |

DereI: Ma'am I agree u did human resource as a course but this V.O also knows that the same HR is offered as a bachelors on its own. I studied accounting for bachelors and Did 3 Hr courses (organizational behaviour, intro to HR, and HR Pay and administration) Does this really qualify me as an HR Graduate, or an hr specialist. Apologies if I got u offended Cheers |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by khasm(m): 4:50pm On Jul 18, 2017 |
princeadedayo: I seconded this view @ derel HR is different from office administration and its not the same as even being a top management person. Since you are not qualified for master education in canny, VOs are aware of this and the study permit is not only for master and Phd student, it is never stated, hence, the next pointer falls on your SOP.@ Austinpee can help with that. Look into the above critically with your gcms handy, you should be fine. Its not a dead end if you dont qualify for masters. Regards |

abdullahi45: Hello, Just saw your post and I was interested because I also applied to western (although I declined it for ubc). I applied with first bank's visa debit card which acts as a credit card. For your money order however, I know first bank does moneygram. You could make enquiries. Also send an email explaining your situation to western pg admissions and ask for the best way out and if moneygram would be acceptable. I wish you all the best. |

Alantobie: I have been doing plenty of research on this myself. The background check (Security check) is what causes delay in making decision, and reasons could be - misunderstanding -your file being lost or assigned to a lazy clerk -Being born in (or have traveled to) a country that is considered suspicious -Name similarity -Delay in Information exchange between CIC and CSIS. NB: Neither CIC nor the Court has any right to compel CSIS to act fast on any case |

Abeg I fit beat you now ooooo @Derel my Sis l understand how u're feeling , hv bn there b4. U sure b fine very soon. But may l suggest that u calm down & read people's comment/ suggestions for d issue at hand. Especially @princeadebayo's post... he is making a whole lot of sense. Also our beloved @Austeenpee. The main thg to tackle is d proposed program, (which is always d reason for purpose of visit) length of stay is just an added thg, cos purpose of visit has always come with something to make us more confused. However, u will do well to do a reassessment of ur profile wt d gurus. You've got nice profile, just focus on d proposed program dt will make d VO think straight.. These guys don't know some things really. Also may l point out dt given a VO reason in your SOP dt ur cpga don't qualify for MSc, is a no no point. It weakens ur chances, shooting urself in d leg. You could hv stressed what makes d pgd an advantage to ur career wen done with d program. Much love dearie, see u testifying soonest. 5 Likes |

I am so provoked. @ all that responded to my posts....i appreciate. To all the hopefuls, I wish you the best. To all the delayed....its not the end of the world. 3 Likes |

samjumbo: Why are you screaming? (All capital letters). You can make words bold for emphasis, instead. There are questions there that meet their criteria. Also, even if the questions are too specific, there are diplomatic ways they could answer that would give readers the general gist. There is an archive of previous AMAs by previous government officials for reference; even Barack Obama did one during his tenure. Keep in mind that they estimated they would be done answering by 4pm EDT (9pm WAT). It's about two hours to that time so what is their excuse? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by samjumbo: 7:06pm On Jul 18, 2017 |
poesy:Hi dear, I think there instructions were clear enough - as per the time they will reply some questions. Answering some questions take's time. Also, they know they stand to be quoted in future, hence, they have to be careful in selecting their words. Lets be patient with them. In the interim, here is one awesome question a Nigerian asked recently. It makes a lot of sense. Be kind to teach me how to bold things when you have some spare time. I really don't know how to do that poesy! Cheers my fellow UWO housemate. We shall argue and fight in canny Gods willing!!!
