Austinpee4:@thesoj I am new here and I have read all ur comment on Canadian travel visa forum. Please I want to kindly request your help to receive my SOP. I applied for study permit March 22 2017 and got the refusal letter in May 29 2017. Although, I initially did not write an SOP because it was not part of the document in the checklist to apply. I intend to study a PGC in Paralegal. I have a BSc in international law and Diplomacy from Nigeria, LLB and LLM from UK. Please kindly reply. Thanks. Kind regards. |

Hey. I think in my opinion since you have an llm which is a masters degree in law you should try and go for a PhD instead not a PGD which is a lower degree. That's just my opinion Jumax: |

DereI:So sorry for the delay mate. I personally do not think your choice of course is the reason for delay. I feel it's the class of degree. I want to believe you have some years of experience which should qualify you for a masters degree in administration with hrm your major. Kindly look for schools that offers your course at masters level and get a referee from your place of work and carefully outline your duties in ur resume. 1 Like |

manlikegb: I strongly believe you will need to get a PGD or PGC. Make a soung cgpa, then apply for masters. But in canny bsc, pgd , msc. are rated same in plc(s)/private firms. Main thing is know ur stuff. Show that u are very good at what you do. Make a sound grade in PGD,get a good job, then you can later register MSC part time while u work. If you register for MSC after u get PR. Ur tuition will be very affordable as that of a cannynite. Also u can apply for MSC with a third class. Do ur google research right. Impossible is nothing. These all depends on ur plans and budget. 1 Like |

DereI: Mehn, this is sad. Sorry about these derel. I know how it feels I swear. It is possible what u said, about random denial. It happened to me once at Walter Carrigton God that sees ur efforts knows He wants to bless you. It will end in praise. Keep pursuing and apply again. U can also follow EE route as well. Try also to register for budget-friendly PGD or one year MSC in a good school around u in naija. So u have the option of PhD too.(PhD seems to have very few delay and quick processing time). You know in all these you need prayers as well. God has a reason for everything, he may be helping you avoid an unforseen wahala or planning something bigger for you. Take ur self out. Eat some suya, have some drink. And just let it go. Cos sometime in future you will testify. (I also write this to all yesterday delays) God bless 2 Likes |

Most of the recently refused study visa applicants qualify for express entry. Don't waste your money and emotions on study visa route. If you have a bsc+3 years experience or master degree+1 year experience or HND+1 year experience, you are qualified for Express entry. NYSC experience can count as the one year, as well as any part time paid employment during your UG program, so long it matches the employees they seek. Even self employment counts with proof. Currently, With Express entry, you can get permanent resident permit in 6 months, rather than wait a whole year to package for study, or choose a course that doesn't perfectly align with and a progress from your previous program. Be wise! In fact I am angry and irritated by recent avoidable refusals. I strongly recommend that Everybody on this thread should join the express entry thread below now, and read from page 0. If you don't qualify now, you will later after study or at least one of your family members, with low CGPA that can't get scholarship, will do. It is easier and less expensive. Just join below thread and read from page 0. Don't bump in with questions and look stupid. www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled 9 Likes 1 Share |

Hello everyone, i am planning on applying for msc coursework comp sci, i have a uk degree with an average of 72%, graduated 2014 with 2 years working experience as a data analyst, unfortunately, most schools i have seen so far request for a minimum of 75% in order to be considered for admission, please kindly help with less competitive schools that do not require contacting a supervisor or going via PGD the only way forward??...
