emeify:Each application is treated as a fresh one(new and re application). However, a visa officer may want to review previous reasons for a refusal to ascertain if there is/are significant new information or change in condition. The key thing for every application is to OUTRIGHTLY meet the requirements of a study permit. A different visa officer may review a re-application and his/her judgement will be based on the provisions of the IRCC act and not SOLELY on previous refusal reasons. Once your application meets the requirements, it will be approved irrespective of the previous reasons and how you have addressed them. So if a change of course would present your case as a genuine student while at the same time present your purpose of visit in reasonable light, it will be approved even if you mention this in a SOP or not. While I would encourage people to use a SOP in a re-application, it can help narrow a visa officer's mind to things that is/are unique about your application or elaborate on your overall Intent to complete your program. Your SOP mustn't be all about the changes in your re-application or pointing out the things you have done differently. This can form part of it but a good SOP should help present your case, explain your purpose, your overall goals and ultimately help convince an officer that your primary Intention is to study. 4 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Austinpee4: 12:22pm On Jul 19, 2017 |
Abdon01:Not really. If it were funding, insufficient funds would have been ticked. There is more to your application. Please order for your GCMS file. You have a good profile. Something probably didn't add up somewhere( in the VO's eyes). Sorry about the outcome. 2 Likes |

Gabbychioma: I know but I applied for PhD and yet I have not gotten a decision and it's for this fall. I got my visa notes and the purpose of first denial was that I have not convince them that I would return back home that all. I did not over stay in the UK. I came home before my visa expires. |

The only issue I can figure out in your application is insufficient fund. Your closing balance can barely takeup your flight ticket not to talk of your living expenses. Like I said in my last post, especially to those msc applicants who are on either full or partial funding, you shouldn't rely on your funding alone to avoid stories that touch, it's always good to fulfill all righteousness and dont leave all stones unturned because your application will be treated same way they will treat a sponsored app (no preferential treatment). This vo are always skeptical about funding either internal or external because they know that most funding do come with conditions that you must meet during the period of your study to maintain your funding and they are not sure if you will be able to always meet up with those conditions. This is why it is good to convince them that you are capable of taking on the responsibilities if at all anything happen to the source of funding along the line by presenting more convincing SOA (your SOA should do the talking) but order for ur gcms note and lets have a proper clarification. Now my humble advise to all msc funding beneficiaries, you are so lucky enough to have gotten funding(I.e full or partial) and it is not by your power but by the grace of God and his mercy. God has played his part and your approval now lies in your hands. Do not take any changes to jeopardise this great opportunity, strive hard to raise money and let the vo's sleeping dog lie. To all that was delayed, nothing good comes easy, don't let it weigh you down. In life, be prepared to fall and rise again but u are not yet a failure until you fall and decides not to rise again. Repackage your app and refire,do not lose hope coz everything is possible. To all trv hopefuls, keep ur hopes alive, never stop praying and u will have the coz to share your testimony soon. And a big congratulations to all trv approvals it will surely end in praise for us all. Gracias! Abdon01: 7 Likes 1 Share |

chybaz: This one really shook me oo, but l think his personal statement of account is low & we don't know d balance in his sponsor's soa too. His employment history too is not known. My suggestion is this wen u hv a very strong profile like this dt comes with advantage of funding, try to contact d gurus here @thesoj, austeenpee,Canadian nurse etc. they would hv assisted in seeing d lapses which the applicant might not see. Anyway, this VO Sha is a mean person, because seeing a first class student shd make d decision favourable. I will suggest u improve ur personal soa to like #2m & ur sponsor's own shd be good. Reference to a case last wk of a guy dt got his trv, having funding but d guy was careful & showed he has sufficient money even wt his fundings. Quickly consult with @ thesoj with humility. I think u can reapply immediately, but do online please. @Abdon it's well, u're 99% there. Sure 2 Likes |

Abdon01: Wow... sorry for the delay. As @victory2017 said, someone with your profile has a high chance of approval. What's your profile? When did you finish BSc and NYSC? What have you been doing since then? What's your work experience? Etc. Also, could you give a two-sentence summary of what you wrote in your SOP? I'm just trying to figure out why you got refused so that we can avoid same next time. @osemigho @kalohenic @yemdogg @austinpee abeg come to the rescue. |

Now I came here to drop this. Pls permit me people of other faith . Proverbs 21:1 says "The Kings heart is in the hand of the Lord, Like the rivers of water, He turns it wherever He wishes" The King here is the VO. I pray this prayer that God shall settle trv hopefuls and make it a testimony. Even denials shall later turn to testimony. Amen 21 Likes |

Abdon01:Oga ooooo. Omo this one thick oooo. My thinking cap is on since I saw your post for delay. You know baba, post here all the docs you submitted. Let's see again. Because insufficient funds is not tick doesn't mean we should ignore. I think you should look into increasing your funds the account balance both of you showed is not up to living expenses. Every1 check nah 1 Like |

Abdon01: Hello Bros, the attachment has said it all. INSUFFICIENT FUND so boost personal soa/sponsor's own. Also the purpose of visit.....try & explain in your SOP what the program gonna add to your career in future after done. Also tell of the prospect in it in your country(this means u're coming back). Of all the points given seek GOD'S FAVOUR. Bless you. |
