It can be done with Tasker but your charging notification will have an infinite loop

Maybe what you need to do is format through recovery mode environment because a bug is preventing the device from starting up.

Even phones like the highly rated Redmi note 2 and Redmi note 3 mtk didn't get any Android upgrade. Those buying the Redmi series should never expect an Android upgrade (still surprised the Redmi 4x is even getting) because they are at the bottom of the scale of preference. Think of it, in comparison with Samsung for instance, the Redmi series are like the J series, the Redmi note series like the A series, and the Mi series are like the S series.

Thanks for that info. I own a samsung note 4 and redmi pro. I see myself pressing the samsung more . I think that explains why.

connect your phone to PC and check the device manager, if there is "com 900E" you need to open your device or deep flash cable.

Check YouTube on how to open your device, disconnecting and reconnecting battery and USB cables.

But before that, have you pressed (and held) the power button for a long duration?

The picture you posted is the changelog for the update. If the white notification bug is not included, then it's pointless updating

Yes. Ads keep popping up. What I do is to use opera mini to navigate to the download page, then copy the download link of the movie file, and then proceed to uc browser to download. Enable ad blocking in opera mini. Uc has it also, but it's not effective.

If it's not, try combination of different charges/usb cord. Try a different charging source

The Site is impressive but they lack some major movies i really need to see.

Yes check YouTube on how to open the back cover. If the battery is swollen, then it's probably damaged and you'll need to get a new one. If it's not swollen, disconnect the battery from the phone and reconnect.

But if your pc can recognize your phone, leave it to charge for a long time then reflash

After the backup, Open ur file explorer MIUI---backup---Allbackup(the backup name should include the date the backup was made). Afterwards, copy to an external source like PC or OTG device, with this done, you can go on with your factory reset.
