Kyase: Hehe. Terkimbi01 has a point. Most Christians would rather ally with the SE than go with the core north. Even the Christians in Kano would rather the East. From his comments, you could see that his dislike for the core northerners stems from their violent acts, condescension, and supremacist worldviews. Their lives, thoughts and perspectives are inspired only by Islam, rather than science or a mix of both. You can't make any progress like that. Education and logic get you far, not religion. I can't speak so much for the Muslim middle-belters. Whether or not they are cool with the oppression, playing second fiddle in mosques, being regarded as not Muslim enough, or being referred to as unbelievers (arnaye). One thing I'm sure of though, is that they are progress-minded and peace-loving people. They won't object to a middle-beltan project, but I don't see them joining a Biafra. Personally, I regard the Igbos as brothers and sisters, but my first priority would be to form a middle-beltan state or nation. With the exception of the Yorubas, the other majority tribes always seek to dominate. But an alliance with the Yorubas isn't quite it for middle-beltan states far east of the country, like Benue, Taraba, Nasarawa, and Plateau. That leaves us with one of three options: be independent, ally with the Igbos, or ally with the Hausas. If I can't get independence, an alliance with the Igbos won't lead to bloodshed. Worst that could happen is war of words, which happens even among siblings. I don't see any of the aforementioned middle-beltan states allying with the north. My opinion. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Kyase: I would want the same too. Imagine a situation where kogi West/kwara go with the SW, Niger with the north, that leaves Benue, parts of kogi, Nasarawa, Plateau, Taraba, Southern Kaduna, Southern Bauchi, and possibly Southern Gombe and Adamawa. That leaves us almost intact - or even bigger. Together, you have a collection of individuals where no single entity can dominate. Hardworking and education-loving people among whom religion does not take centre stage. Add that to over 230,000 square kilometres of total land area and you would see that there's enough room for us to grow in science, agriculture, and industry. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Kyase: So, let us stand up for the middle belt nation. nobody will do it for us. my position is that rather than remain silent in the face of this genocide, we shall look at the north eyeball to eyeball and tell them we prefer Biafra than to continue with you. all I want is respect for our lands, peoples, languages and cultures. we should stop pretending that all is well. if we do not have the courage to stand up for our rights, then I am willing to support those who are. The Biafrans are right. Nigeria is not working. 1 Like |

Kyase: Where do I belong? I belong to Freedom from savages. I am not scared nor shy to state that I prefer to belong to Biafra than to remain in this madness called Nigeria. The best though is a country for the middle belt. 2 Likes 1 Share |
