You see what I mean, nobody ever gives a straight answer, an answer is supposed to look like "yes, and here are the reasons why...." or "no, and here are the reasons why", I have not been to Dubai how do you expect me to know what comfort means or look like over there.

If someone decides to make a move to Lagos from Ghana, for a 500K job PM, this is what I might say, "Rent cost about 1.2M yearly/100k monthly, feeding can cost you between 30-50k monthly, transportation another 50-60K, miscellaneous: 30-50k, using worst case scenarios these makes a total of 260K monthly leaving you with a saving of 240k or 3,341 Cedis, it is a good move".

It is that simple, You feel I should understand somethings but I can't because I have no freaking idea what life in Dubai looks like, I just want figures, values, proof, something to hold on to. What is really unreasonable is that you could write out all of that reply without just taking a bit of time to explain what you mean.

Secondly I have privately asked and i was not given the link and now I will openly ask.... Please can someone give us the website used to verify validity of visit visa, alot of people keep it as a secret I don't know why.

You can as well try in Sharjah, the closest emirate to Dubai, rent is cheaper. If you are driving you can even try Ajman where rent is cheapest. One BHK in Ajman can be as low as 24,000 annual rent. But be ready to be endure traffic congestion on regular basis. As you can see rent is quite expensive in UAE.

Oh goodness, thanks so much, this is all I was asking for, thanks a lot. I have been using dubizzle to see if I can get an apartment less than the allocated amount, but I have not seen any comfortable one yet, I guess I will just use the whole amount for rent. a guy working with me now said the agent that did his visa gave him the contact of somebody in u. a. e to stay with and. after arriving the contact asked for money when the guy didn't have he drove him out 1 a.m to the street and had to sleep at the bus stop with his bags
even the agent that did your visa will still continue eating your money when you arrive u. a. e asking for your b. t. a to get you job or accommodation

Though some employers will like to see ur capability before applying for ur employment visa (still illegal). Just dey work codedly till they issue u employment visa. when coming on tourist visa and you don't have someone reliable in u. a. e who you might have discus with thoroughly before coming about accomodation and job search
please and please bring along at least 200k

50k==for transportation and feeding
100k,=for agents who will get you job

if you rely only on submitting cv and attending walk in interview only then get prepare to wait patiently till God answer your call that is if your visa didn't kalas before then..

I got mine by paying 500aed (50k)after begging him with all the gods I know because he insisted on 700aed and new comers the job easily available start from 900aed to 1000aed and people are rushing it just to secure their stay..

Your brother has been in Ajman for close to 2 years and doesn't know how to renew his visa and you are the one to give him info from Nigeria, Okay

So that means he has not been interacting with people in and out of his work environment.

Good day guys, lets be realistic, I wont advice anyone to come to UAE with the mindset of buying a job. first, Lets zero our mind in searching for jobs by our self , then the other options may follow if the first option didn't work.
I will love to share my own experience, I came UAE with a tourist visa a year ago, hoping to secure a safety officer's job all because of the Nebosh IGC certificate that I had with few years of experience in Nigeria.
I was disappointed when I got here to realized that the certificate is just like a pure water, in which 500 applicants will apply for 1 HSE officer's position, so I decided to go for other jobs after wasting 1month to search for HSE officer's job.
I started applying for job in multinational firms, at the end of the day, I got a job in the warehouse of a retail franchise company. I started making contacts with Africans HSE professionals in order for them to guild me concerning the competitive HSE career.
I was being told to go for more certifications that new entry HSE professionals doesn't have, I had to take risk by sacrificing my 3months salary for 3 HSE audit courses, I got 2 HSE job offers within the period I finished the 3 courses.
To cut the story short, we can all make it if we believe, no matter how competitive the job market is.
