MrMarc:You do not have to be married before your family can serve as hometies. Your parents and even siblings can serve as hometies. Also, the landed properties do not have to be in your name. Your parents landed documents can serve as hometies especially if you are not self sponsored and you are still in your twenties. |

knight4cent:I think you should take your mind off getting the visa and focus on not getting a 2 or even 5 years ban. Just reply them and explain to them logically how you made the mistake. 1 Like |

Your family/ siblings serve as ties to Nigeria. It's not easy for some people to live apart or far away from their family. I saw a GCMS note where the VO was asking where the siblings reside. I deduced that the VO was trying to use the siblings place of residence to determine if the principal applicant will migrate or return home. So if your siblings are all here, add their drivers license and also state in your SOP that they are all in Nigeria. MrMarc: |

Jayne07: Don't even give it a second thought Don't apply with your husband As I can see, your Husband stands a greater chance of being approved. Good home tie (you ), PhD and availability of funding. It's just a matter of time he will invite you after few months but make sure he declares that he is married in his application form. It is very important. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Sirmicholo:Please kindly adjust the part you said he should declare his married while the lady said the applicant is her fiance not husband. Except they are in a common law relationship please don't declare married oooo. If they will get married before he applies then their marriage cert will be included and after the applicant approval the wife can join him tru SOWP. My tot 1 Like |

Somebody please help! My school does not give Transcript by hand but prefers to send directly to foreign school. And am applying to Centennial College. The College said that I should send the scanned copy of my Transcript and other documents in one PDF file to them. Pls how do I get my Transcript since my school in Nigeria don't give it by hand? 1 Like |

Sirmicholo:I appreciate your input. But is there really no chance of us getting approved at the same time. What else can we use as home ties. And how much would we both need to declare |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Twallace: 7:14pm On Jul 29, 2017 |
prettytolar: Uniben also don't give Transcript by hand but you can tell the person preparing the transcript or find small thing to him to do photocopy for you 1 Like |

wealth360: I agree with you completely, l thought she made mentioned of it that they will wed soon. On the other hand if the application is going to be submitted before the actual wedding I suggest they do a solo wedding registry or something to get a marriage certificate before the main wedding. Please and please don't declare married without a legal marriage certificate ooo. I am saying all these because a friend of mine finds it difficult to bring his wife after almost 2 years he has been there just because their wedding was after he submitted application for TRV. 2 Likes |

Qadi:exchange rate changes everyday... I paid with dorm account so just divide your school fees by the banks USD TO CAD Rate for that day you will get your fees in dollars then you will know how to find the dollar either by form A or parallel market |

Sirmicholo:Registry is next Month. I'm still hoping there's a chance we get approved at the same time. So "had I known" doesn't enter the matter 1 Like |

prettytolar:when I applied to Centennial I sent my official transcript to them and they forwarded(scanned copy) everything back to me to add other documents and convert them all to one pdf.In the end, I got mi transcript. U may consider sending to the school officially, I believe they will still forward it to u cos they usually prefer everything being in one pdf. 1 Like |

prettytolar: Apply for a student copy of your transcript, many schools give that. If that is not possible, then apply for an official copy using Nigeria address, note that this could only be possible if you have a friend or relative who is a Lecturer in a University or polytechnic,Just use his departmental address and pay for the courier delivery fee. You will get it in few days. It's always good to have the electronic of your transcript with u at any time. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by mcobex: 8:42pm On Jul 29, 2017 |
prettytolar:Some schools give their students a copy(student copy) of their transcripts, another option is if you have someone that owns a company or works in an organization and holds a reputable position there you can apply for local transcript and have it sent to the person's company after which you can go and collect it from him/her. Though that won't stop you from still reapplying for another (official) transcript when you must have been given conditional admission (pending when the official transcript gets to them ) |

Jayne07: Hello boss, Like other bosses suggested. Your "husband" should apply alone. A couple of months apart aint gonna reduce your love for each other. You will stand as a good home tie. The VOs know, he will always send for you. Please calm down. But if you really want to go with him, well you guys have to come up with very good home times and lots of cash declaration. Is it possible for you guys to apply together? Yes. Is it possible to get approval? Yes, but the odds will be extremely high. In a nutshell, let him apply alone. I never marry sha, so i fit no know far... maybe the married ones that already have their trv can shed more light... 4 Likes 1 Share |

Jayne07:Do you or your fiancee have any company or business you run here in Nigeria? Cos if you both get married and you apply together without any hometie it will be hard to convince the vo. Trust me the disadvantages of both of you applying together outweighs the advantages, don't be scared just allow him to apply alone and I am very sure his own will be approved before you know it, after that he can now apply for you. Don't allow your fear to spoil his application. 2 Likes 1 Share |
