Those trophies are a stepping stone. This season, we expect him at the barest minimum to mount a worthy title challenge.

Pep, on the other hand, has nothing to step from. His title challenge last season was the most laughable one Man City have had in years. Spent hundred of millions yet has nothing to show for it. Pellegrini's first season at Man City is better than Pep's by a zillion miles, and he didn't spend as much.

Your maths should have been 1.229Billion/13 years. That is, 94.5 MILLION PER YEAR.

So yes, Mou spends more per year.
