Hello sir, I have seen a delayed trv even on Full tuition payment and full rent as well. CIC only approves trv if everything is equal, ie. the applicant meets eligibility. Payment of rent doesnt count. Don't pay rent thinking it'll be of advantage to ur application. Even school fees payment is not required traditionally by CIC. But some schools do require fees payment to secure your admission. And its of late (dis year) CIC started requesting for proof of fees payment and funds export just because of the new CBN regulations on Foreign currencies/transactions. Read d Lagos Visa Office Form, the one that comes with a questionnaire for paper route application.

I have seen some moniker on this thread shivering on how to send CIC proof of money export, even without being requested of him. OYO is his/her case. I strongly wouldn't advice that. Making his/her look desperate.

I just tot I should share so that it wouldn't be confusing to newbies.

Success on our TRVs.

As per the delayed trv with payments.
You failed to talk about home tie nor previous work experience with current choice of course. Finance alone don't give trv approval as you rightly said all have to be balanced.

What you see on CIC site is a guideline...
Common sense comes to fore in certain cases.

You hav a distance cousin..uncle or a friend as a sponsor and you think those payments isn't necessary to show commitment and kill every doubt of sponsorship.

My dear.. CIC gave you a basic guide.
If i am to apply with my dad or mum not being my sponsor.. i will evn pay full tuition full rent and have my full leaving expenses.

It is by no means sign of desperation rather a sign of seriousness.

VO are human beings...there's no guide of judgement that says "This applicant is desperate" rather there's one with basic guide which one should fo well to meet 100%.

I would rather see the VO as a judge like tfat of a law court whom i have to convince with all possible evidence for a favorable judgement.

I still insist on payment of fees if you have the money!
Nigeria as a country has a reputation of fraud anybody could hav this cash refunded to whoever sent it after approval...I don't like assuming this guys knows this but sorry thats the reality.

I got a refusal mail on August 1st. Reason given was purpose of visit.

I have my 1st and 2nd degrees in Electrical Engineering and was going for MSc in sustainable environmental management. I have been working in line with sustainable development of environmental resources for about 3 yrs so was surprised that I was denied based on purpose.

Well I've moved on anyway as it's their loss not mine. I'll advise future trv applicants to make sure their intended program is in line with their previous programs as IRCC isn't cool with applicants from Nigeria switching fields anymore.

Hello...
Pls can you share your application profile so we can further learn.

However, if you still want to proceed with pursuant of your Canadian dreams i would rather suggest you defer your admission.

Then get another admission which you believe is in line with your previous studies..get your trv and switch to your desired program on arriving Canada.

Moreso, I don't think its just about purpose of visit. Kindly share your profile and GCMS note.

Thanks a lot Kalohenic
The person to pay is my brother-in-law who resides in Canada. He's supposed to be my co-sponsor, but because of payment of tuition rigours, we had to swap. We actually intend to reapply with the tuition fees cos I've missed September resumption, I don't want to miss January Winter. That's why I had to double up.

I completed my NYSC this year. So no Masters degree yet.
kalohenic:
Sorry to hear about the delay.

Regarding your first question, it depends. Most schools in Canada uses Western Union Globalpay (a third party) which enables you to make payment from most countries. So this won't be an issue, all you need do is state your student ID number while filling the form on the site. You would forward the copy sent to your mail to the person to make the payment.

Regarding question 2. You could either get the person making the payment to be a Co sponsor with your husband as main sponsor. In addition, you would have to mention the relationship you have with this person and give convincing reasons why the person chose to support your education (it's easier if the person is a close relative). Also try to ensure that your husband has sufficient account balance and properties which validates his capacity to sponsor you while he's able to take care of other dependents.

Or if the person is a business partner of your husband and you can prove that he or she is indebted to your husband in any way to warrant the payment on his behalf, this would also suffice.

Regarding the reason for the refusal, you might need to check and ensure that the course you are going for aligns with your first degree course and that it is a higher certificate you are going for ( that's if you already have a masters prior to this)

These are my opinion.

Meanwhile, order for your gcms note and also share your full profile here for better insight

He will not just initiate the funds transfer, but you will also have to show proof of relationship and some convincing reasons why he wants to sponsor you.

I would attach a copy of my mum's National Id card showing her maiden name before marriage. In his letter of sponsorship, he stated that I would be coming back to work for his company. Thanks

Good morning house,
I sincerely need your advice/clarification on my case. Please see below:

i. I have an HND
ii. Over 40
iii. Have a family with wife gainfully employed
iv. Have over 10 years work experience
v. have properties (land, automobiles) worth over N12m (what do i need to proof these apart from their documents)
vi. Have Pension account with balance in excess of N3m
vii. Have shares in stock worth over N2m
viii. Plan pushing funds into my mutual fund account to the tune of N3m
ix. Sponsor (inlaw) lives and works in europe (not sure of her monthly take home as a clinical staff)
x. Currently work as head of a unit in consulting firm.
xi. I am applying for a professional programme that runs for 12 months inclusive of about four months internship
xii. My sponsor will only be taking care of the living expense with a monthly stipends of about $1600 while i take care of my tuition and other logistics. will this pose a problem considering my circumstance?
xiii. I have an acceptance letter from Montreal
xiv. I also have CAQ from Quebec.

All these put together, will they pose a concern for denial? Please I need your advice house.

OmalichaUC:

My opinion though, I think he should just pay your tuition fees. Thats where his commitment will reflect. I'm not sure CIC cares about who applied for visa for you or not. The koko is your financial potentials for your study. Visa application is just the 1% stage of the whole affair.
Gurus in the house pls help. I'm learning too.

@ OmalichaUC , thanks for the reply. what l meant is that; he has paid part of the school fee which is the required deposit l was asked to pay.

What is your sponsors balance.
What is your balance on SOA

Promise of paying $1600 monthly might not work. What's her monthly take home. Does she have a family?

Abeg let her send the cash to your account as commitment. Then she would give you sponsorship letter.

My view

Pls this approval is one of those rare cases type of approval...

Don't use it as a benchmark especially if you can do a lil more.

Ofcos Miracle do happen but first lets put the best app possible.

Mind u.... I submitted via online application. Online dosent require as much documents as paper.... Smtimes I wonder if it's really necessary to put in all the excesses

Go to the Police Headquarters. Get to the gate and tell them you want to get police clearance certificate. Go with about 10000 Naira.
