Someone says they will ask about your field of study, current affairs and your undergraduate project.Is this the general norm? I know som1 who read mechanical engineering but applied as system analyst

The first order of business is to let the students know it's "EXTRAMURAL" and not Extra Moral (which actually means, outside of morality)

Having observed this thread silently, I think I will need to wade in on this connection or no connection; merit or no merit. In this country, people get jobs on merit and that is a fact. People get jobs by connection and that is also a fact. I work in a very reputable firm in Nigeria; I and my colleagues got the job on merit as entry level. In my firm someone else with virtually same qualifications got the job by connection and started on about six grades higher than ours. Both facts are real. Believe whatever you want to believe. If I were a Dangote, I will definitely make my son the GM, it's as simple as that. Like I said, Just put in your best and if it is good enough, you will get there and if it is not, there is no point dying over it. Life goes on....

Dangote is a private firm, DPR is not owned by one oerson so a person must not treat it like his own and hire all his children.

All the slots have been taken.
And Dont think our politicians wards are dullards, the are actually very bright and top notched, given the high levels of education and exposure.
Probabily even on merit , the would still outshine most persons.

But still no juicy govt job has ever been on merit in this country, even in the 80's or 70's, thats y the juicest jobs have always been reserved.

Its just amazing how people would just come hear and be spewing rubbish with all confidence

Merry Monday people, another week of checking this thread and DPR profile. The truth is that the people with reliable sources don't follow threads like ours cuz if they have any issues, they just call their connect.

All the information we have are little scraps we manage to get from people who are almost just as green as we are.
