A lady who hastily bought a transparent chair from Amazon, received a shocker instead after the chair was delivered to her.

The lady who took to Twitter to reveal this, however disclosed that she didn't bother to read about the chair's dimension and other details about the chair.

hi dingbang,i am very sorry for this late response.. To get onboard a ship as a seaman, you need a lot of qualifications, papers that cost huge amount of money. 1st,there are 3 department onboard ship, the Engine room dept, the Deck dept and the Galley(kitchen) dept. Every seaman must possess the primary certificate (just like pry sch cert) known as STCW'10. And it cost between 70k and above depending on the issueing inst. Since most vessels in operation in nig are tankers (oil product carriers),you would need TANKER FAMILIARISATION and it cost about 60k and above.

In essense, you will need the following, find out about them
-STCW'10
-TANKER FAMILARISATION
- DISCHARGE BK (ISSUED BY NIMASA)
-NIMASA REGISTRATION
-YELLOW CARD (ISSUED AT NPA PORT HEALTH)
-ISPS
-INT'L. PASSPORT
-NIMASA APPROVRED MEDICALS (from nimasa certified health centers)
-BIRTH CERT.
When you get higher as a seaman, you will be required to possess EDH (effecient deck hand,as a deck man for you to become an ABLE SEAMAN,AB ) for you to sit for WATCH KEEPING interview to become an AB. (that is if u chose to work in deck dept).
It is MOTORMAN in Engine room dept.

On deck, you start as a TRAINING SEAMAN (depending on the company). You start as an ORDINARY SEAMAN,OS,in some other shipping companies. Thereafter, you become an AB.
In the Engine room, you start as TRAINING WIPER/GREASER or WIPER before you become an oiler years on.
In the Galley dept, life is more easier, you can start as a TRAINING STEWARD in some companies or as a STEWARD in other companies. Thereafter, and with additional qualifications, you can attain to become COOK.

You can obtain STCW'10 (1wk course),TANK (1 wk course)FARM,EDH (1wk course),ISPS (1day course) at CHARKINS MARINES INST,Ph or at MARITIME ACADEMY,Oron. If you are in Lagos, you can obtain them at COASTAL Maritime academy.

You obtain your discharge bk after you obtain your stcw (also known as MANDATORY) from Nimasa. It's a bk that records all your sea time onboard ship.
Avail yourself further with google.
Goodluck
